It means there were mazes this year that were written that ultimately are not happening. Ultimately I think it was much earlier in the year and didn't affect any maze on the lineup.

At this point I'm really hoping at least one coast chooses to do Dawn of the Dead next year, since replicating the Starcourt mall from Stranger Things season 3 would show that they have what it takes to build the mall from Dawn of the Dead.
