Probably not, but it would be such a cool idea though. I would love to see Resident Evil again at HHN, given that RE7-8 would be a perfect setting for both HHN houses.

Yes, but I think for the foreseeable future that will depend on their popularity in other mediums. New Silent Hill allegedly releases next year, right? Think it's possible, though I don't know if I'd put money on it.

The Silent Hill 2 remake just came out last month and the SH2 movie is ALLEGEDLY coming out next year. Though news about it has been very silent. No pun intended. Lol

Again, I could see it. Both properties are marketed as PlayStation exclusives, and I could see Sony with the assist on having Konami/ Naughty Dog play ball.

If Sony is onboard already for this, then kill two birds with one stone and have Zombieland be the theme for the Terror Tram. That would be a VERY easy IP to translate for the Terror Tram.

Also if we get FNAF and Silent Hill or TLOU that would make two video game houses in the same year.

Yay, let the spec begin! Just IMO.

M3gan seems like a no brainer for a house, she is pretty much a modern horror icon now, and more importantly super popular.
Five Nights at Freddy's seems like a good fit, super popular, not sure if the amount of large animatronics would be a challenge, but Quiet Place and Monstrous had plenty.
Universal Monsters - just a matter of who, I'd say. I'd like to see a one-character house, Wolman is on the horizon, who knows.
Latin America Monsters - seems to be a yearly event now, again a matter of who. Maybe a zombie Cheech Marin.

Who know what surprises we'll get. A Quiet Place was a surprise this year to me.

I'll go ahead and post my initial guess list also in this:

- Scary Tales (Dual-Coast. I think it's time for us to share an original concept with Orlando, and I think they're gonna go for it due to how big Wicked is shaping up to be [also helps that we should be having assets from D&D that will be useful)
- Monstruos 3 (I think we're gonna stick to Monstruos for at least one more year, be that with Chupacabra's, Duendes, and an oddball. I hope they try to have one of the legends in La Mala Hora, kind of like how El Cucuy was set during Dia De Los Muertos
- Blumhouse (M3GAN 1.0 + 2.0 and The Black Phone. If they can, I'd also say The Conjuring due to the new co-ownership Blumhouse has with Atomic Monster)
- Friday the 13th (Jason Universe should clear things up, UDX is on really good terms with Paramount and they cleared stuff with New Line for TCM: LOL)
- The Last of Us: Part 2 (Neil Druckmann was spotted recently at HHN, and I believe has spoken publicly of wanting to collaborate with HHN further. I hope I am wrong and it's Silent Hill, but I think it's TLOU2 time)
- Exclusive IP is either a major music artist, or is a oddball IP (In the former, I re-emphasize my point that I think Hollywood wants to continue music collaborations; and I think artists will notice how Hollywood was able to keep HUT a secret. I also think only having one exclusive IP would be fine in the context of the event, if you have heavy hitters).
- Beetlejuice Beetlejuice + Beetlejuice (BJBJ is a smash hit and Universal has worked with WBD before in the past with the bio-exorcist. We also have yet to cover the original film for material, which leads to an interesting enigma of where we'd go compared to Orlando).
- IT: Welcome to Derry (Yeah, I think we're going to 9. IT: Welcome to Derry clears the hurdles of what a Stephen King project would need, as it falls into the same pitfall and trapping that is present with other King works. WTD is not produced, nor written directly with King's hands on the matter.)

I see y'all talking about how we can't go to nine with the performance we got in Hollywood, and how Metro feels out of pocket; but I genuinely do believe that 2024 is a byproduct of sticking to familiar brands that have had presences with HHN previously in very recent memory (and of the prices they asked people for as a byproduct of having those familiar brands).

I think if you market the event, with Pennywise, Beetlejuice, M3GAN, and Jason; it becomes much more enticing to people who would want to make a commitment like that. To spend like that.

I'll also add in the element, I think we are never going to 10 houses. It is fundamentally impossible for us to be able to staff that many people with the rates and costs that comes with the event. Nor do I think 9 houses with Terror Tram makes sense. Sooner or later, we are going to have to be at a fork in the road, and that fork will decide what exactly we do in the means of expanding our event to our max limit. The ceiling is coming, and I think we are looking at what we do in the future (and until then, if Terror Tram is present; then we are stuck at 8 and we can't go further with what we are capable of).

Has there been any talk of The Thing? Fits the bill of a classic IP, and if Chucky is any indication, they certainly have the budget for it now. Unlike Creature from the Black Lagoon, where every actor would need an uncomfortable full-body suit, You won't actually need *that* many crazy pieces too, just the dog thing, the spider-head thing, Palmer-thing, and the big thing at the end, plus maybe a prop for the split-face thing. The rest are regular face actors and minor prosthetics (e.g. claws)

Spec has become such a crapshoot amid the IP wars. It used to be we'd start with a completely blank slate but now it's kinda easy to see what's coming by just using applied logic. Monstrous 3 is a lock; UCM is a lock (even if this year was lame, it's an easy reach for them and it's synergistic in 2025 given Epic Universe); a Blumhouse of some kind is a lock; an original of some kind is a lock. That's already basically half the lineup.

I'll be checking in here from time to time but I'm in a very "Jesus take the wheel" mindset with spec.

I think UM may not be a lock because of Epic Universe. They may not want HHN to take the focus that Dark Universe should have.

I had the idea of maybe the UM maze being a prequel to Dark Universe but then again, I forgot that Dark Universe opens before HHN starts. They should have done that for HHN 2024. I mean if HHN wants to do a spinoff themed in the Dark Universe setting then they of course could do that. I feel like it would be a good theme for one final Monster house though if we have all of the Universal Monsters in a maze again for the last time ending this series with a bang.

I don't think so. Maybe if HHN and the opening of Epic Universe were happening at the same time, I could potentially see that, but EU will have been open for a few months already, and I don't think having a UCM house at HHN will get in the way of anything. This kinda stuff doesn't detract focus, it just builds upon the brand.

The UCM monsters featured at HHN aren't the same as the ones in Dark Universe, though, are they? They're all Universal Classic Monsters, but I don't think it's been established that they're all in the same universe, or anything like that. (Which is another reason for why they can/will keep the UCM houses going at HHN.)

I'd also deposit Horror Unleashed to the consideration that they might not want to cannibalize the brand marketing into play with Vegas not that far from Hollywood either.

Yes, the Universal Monsters of Dark Universe and the Universal Monsters of HHN are completely separate from one another. Different storylines and universes. I think @Brian G. mentioned at one point that Universal doesn't want the Dark Universe version at HHN.

I think they’re technically separate but they are all the same brand. Like Alex pointed out HHN Vegas will also be promoting their version of a UM house. I’m not sure how often Vegas will change out their houses but it would make sense if it doesn’t follow the same storyline as what Orlando/Hollywood are doing.

From the poor surveys about the last UM house and Vegas UM house/Dark Universe opening it would make sense for there to be a small break for the UM houses for HHN 2025.

This actually just bolsters my reason for why it will be back again. UCM and HHN (the theme park version and now this Vegas version) are becoming synonymous, and I believe people sorta expect them to be featured. So that, coupled with the fact it's one of the few properties they don't need to negotiate over, tells me there's a better chance of it coming than not.

Also, I think if the company was worried Horror Unleashed would cannibalize Hollywood HHN in any way, they would have never opened it to begin with.

I see what you mean, but again, it seems to me that the Vegas version and Dark Universe stuff would only compel them to do more. The eggs are already going deep into the basket, I don't see them pulling back. In fact, it's very clear they're doing the exact opposite. But who knows! We'll find out eventually.

I feel pretty confident that we will not be seeing UCM at the event next year. I don't believe it's a coincidence that both coasts started doing UCM houses around the time Epic was first announced, as they've been wanting the keep the brand relevant leading up to the park's opening, which will no longer be necessary.

UCM has been at HHN for the last six years now, with the most recent installments notably having less effort put into them. There also seems to be less enthusiasm from the general public for these houses due to their repetition at the event, much like what happened to Walking Dead. Eventually, UCM has to take a break, and this year would make sense, especially after the lukewarm reception of Eternal Bloodlines.

If we do end up getting Monsters in some form, it would probably be a Hollywood-exclusive repeat of a house, possibly Legends Collide.
