I complain because I can this is what forums are for. When it is done right i don't complain A page needs some one who can counter the constant well on night 12 at 945 I got a good scare on my 9th night going. I live the haunt life I travel all over to visit haunts HHN is just part of my year. I just came back 2 weeks ago from visiting 21 haunts in 3 days. I have seen more things then most people even dream of in a given year. So I am not some complainer I see what else is out there and I expect wehn A company with Millions of Dollars in it's budget and one of the best creative teams in the business to step it up not do Movie Houses and rerun things. If that is what you want out of HHN enjoy. I even noticed you won't be going this year, sorry for you since you seem to enjoy it so much. Maybe it will be the best year I have seen 21 had fantastic houses and crap zones sadly last year was just bad all around. Also I get annoyed by people saying what they know and then it doesn't happen. If you know something say I guarantee it if not say I heard but I am not sure.

Yes I insulted by calling it that and I am racially obtuse, please forgive me anyone who took offense to my use of La whatever I said. I am sure it hurt some ones feelings.

Did you have a chance to go through Gothic or Dead End? Both of those were awesome last year, I do agree that Silent Hill was lackluster... we should have got the version Hollywood did.

Seriously though, you may be right about some of the movie houses but you totally nullify your argument by slamming La Llarona, which was an amazing house back-to-back years and also an original creation. So you just sound like you hate the things for which you are insulting HHN for not delivering.

Best house there two years running, and I hope it comes here! Loved it!

How did I slam the house who's name I didn't remember? Jungle Skip I have gone 17 years to HHN. I don't have to drink the HHN koolaid. I spent 165.00 for one day of HHN, express pass, behind the screams and early entry. So I have a right to complain, I also travel 5 hours to get there pay hotel, food, gas and so forth. I LOVE the people who think if you complain about HHN you hate it. last year was crap, if you think it was fantastic your opinion I have mine. You don't have to agree with mine and i don't have to agree with yours but i have the right to mine as you have the right to yours.

Also last year The Alice Cooper House came out of California and was there House of the year, only to be Eh here.

I hear yah I mean I'm more experienced than many (12 years this year) and have seen the event get a little stale over the past 3 or 4 years in certain areas. Not to mention the prices are getting ridiculous. Last year was by FAR my least favorite event and it really was a bummer but it was somewhat of a transition year. I understand your frustration and respect you and fades love of the season and your opinions but I myself can't relate to all of it. Maybe in a few more years I can  Brings me to another point Spook, many of the people your sharing your opinions with have only been going for the past 2-4 years. They really can't relate to your criticism of the event downfalls simply because they don't have enough to relate or compare to.

Yes Gothic and Dead End were both Very Good. But with the lack of scarezones and the other crap for houses and the insane lines just not a great year. Also lets look at this You pay 75.00 to go to an event on a Non peak Sunday. You are at the gate at 6:30 you get in and you get 3 houses done and stand in line for 6 hours? IS HHN worth that? Question 2 would your pay 20 dollars to do 2 houses that are at HHN outside the park? With that criteria give me your answer.

For me, I just can't stand the scareactor's scares. I mean no disrespect towards them specifically because they clearly put in a lot of hard work, but the whole audio queued, predictable scares got VERY old. I guess it has to be that way simply because of the magnitude of the event, but I didn't jump once in any of the houses.

I used to attend King's Islands' Halloween Haunt and while the houses were nowhere near the level of detail of HHN, I found their scares to be "scarier."

Last year was my least favorite and this was my 8-9th year, but I thought you were saying it was all around bad. I really enjoyed those two houses.

I agree completely, if you are aware you can predict when and where all the scares will be, especially when the conga line starts to back up. Back in the 90's I'm pretty sure they sent you through in smaller pulses and the scares were less canned. It's hard to judge on old memories but I swear HHN used to be much more scary.

I can totally understand the disliking of unoriginal movie houses. I am all for creative and original ideas. I also, though liking the remake, will stick to the original Evil Dead's side anyday. That all being said, I will buy a plane ticket to Orlando tonight if they announce an Evil Dead house like everyone is saying they will. And you can bet your butts that I'll be clad in a torn and bloody blue workshirt, too. hashwhateverbrucecampbellgroove

Hmmm... I'm having some thoughts on something that's NOT Evil Dead or Cabin in the Woods. I think hatetofly may be thinking the same.

That is truly a clever clue, though. Direct reference to Cabin in the Woods, but it refers to Evil Dead WITHIN Cabin in the Woods.
