Hey guys, it's been a while since I've visited this thread so forgive me if this already been discussed. With all the talk about TWD revisiting the event and possibly being a year-round haunt to Orlando, I decided to google "walking dead haunted house" to see what would pop up. Strangely, about the third or fourth result is the link to the official 2016 UO HHN page, with a description underneath that reads "Explore the Islands of Adventure that include 7 new haunted houses, the Festival of the Dead Parade, and Scare Zones." What's strange about this is that if you just search "Halloween horror Nights Orlando" or anything else, this description doesn't pop up. I don't know if this means anything, maybe it's just a placeholder description (a weird one at that), but I just thought it would be worth sharing.

1. No year-round haunt to Orlando.

2. That's the description for HHN 14 in 2004. Strange that it's there, but it's already been confirmed that HHN will be held at USF.

There is no rumor about a year round haunt in Orlando. I brought that up only because that's where my mind went based on Alexshows comments at first and just pointed that not, not that I thought it was in anyway a possibility.

And that description sounds a lot like HHN 14 lol

Edit: BriMan beat me to it! Lol

House of horrors in Hollywood was a boatload of problems for them. Management wise, guest satisfaction wise, everything wise. I highly doubt it'll ever happen, even if they turned down the violence, it would be a mess

I would love to see them build a permanent dark ride haunt, then each year for HHN change out the theme, sets etc. It would be like a new ride every year and also a little piece of HHN that gets to stay.

I want a year round "scary" attraction so bad. Honestly they wouldn't need to re-theme for Halloween, that's kind of hard, but you can up the ante. It still had plenty of wait when USH did this.

I don't think the situation with HOH in Hollywood was quite as dire as you are making it out to be. If it was, I doubt they would be making another foray into a year round haunt with TWD, regardless of its popularity.

Having a successful IP I think is critical to a year round haunt being successful. I think TWD will do far better than the previous one they had. This is also why I suggested they should build one with the intention/ability to change out the theme.

It was bad, constant complaints, fans hated it and it was the king of crap during hollywood's HHNs. TWD makes sense if it's only a short lived attraction (by that I mean 1 to 2 years year round). It's popular now, I think the fatigue is setting in with viewers but I guess we will see. Still doubt it's happening to begin with

I mean, it was pretty tame but it was just a nicely-themed walk-through attraction to some nods to Universal's classic monsters. I don't see how you can find too much fault with that.

As per usual with these kinds of attractions, idiots took their kids and it scared the crap out of them lol. That and with others hitting actors, It caused a lot of drama apparently

Not sure if it has been posted earlier, but this was on HHN - Orlando (Twiter) this morning:

This for a maze codenamed "Cobweb" #CodeNameReveal #earlymorning

It also stated it was original.

It'a also worth noting that he posted that saying he was at the airport and somewhat implied it had to do with HHN 26. It will be interesting to see where he's traveling to. Murdy also tweeted that he would be working on a large film shoot for the new Walking Dead Attraction tonight, perhaps they're collaborating on that?

More importantly I think this is the first piece of concept art to be shown for HHN 26!

Haven't seen a recent discussion of the two park speculation for HHN 26. But since Universal just recently posted their Sept. IOA park hours, it sure doesn't look like HHN will be a two park event. IOA is open until 7 or 8 PM just about every evening of HHN.

I wouldn't completely rule it out just yet. If it does really well there I could easily see them adding it here as well. There are also plenty of places where something like that could go.
