So recently, I’ve been curious about HHN is done in Japan and Singapore so I’ve been researching it and watching the few videos out there of the event recently. I found about this yearly thing they have in Japan on Sadako/The Ring, and I loved it. I was beginning to wish it would be possible for HHN28, then I remembered that the building they have it in in Japan was their T2 building, and we all know the fate of our T2 show. However, I had a potentially insane but entertaining idea; put it in the Simpsons Ride.
Now, admittedly it sounds impossible, but let me explain. The queue line doesn’t change at all, minus the screens that usually play Simpsons clips getting staticky at times. You walk into the boarding area, and the static on those screens get more intense. The ride attendants pass it off as technical difficulties, but allow you and the other guests to go into the individual rooms before getting on the ride. That is where it begins to get intense. The normal video begins to play, but is soon interrupted by the cursed video. The attendants are still adamant that it’s technical difficulties and force you into the actual ride. It starts off normally, but as you’re about to start that first “drop”, the screen goes dark and the sinister music from the cursed video begins to play. The ride vehicle goes crazy, like it’s purposefully being broken with the intent to kill you, as the screen plays the cursed video even more intensely. As the video ends again, the ride suddenly ends, with Sadako/Samara unable to kill you......yet.
I love The Ring and I’ve been waiting for a proper and actually well done English adaptation for what seems like forever. There are many flaws to my proposal, but hey, a girl can dream, right?
