So possibly Asylum in Wonderland and Path of the Wicked houses in the same year?

1) They reuse most of their props every year. To a degree, the houses are designed around the props they have available. Because the Shrek house would be a last minute add, it wouldn't have been included in the initial "prop dispersal." So, basically, they wouldn't have a "complete" house ready to just reuse.

2) It's going into Shrek. So, whatever is getting put in there is a fresh build. They could reuse a layout, which isn't uncommon, but any decor work will have to be new. Unless we're getting one of the FEW houses that have been in Shrek (and the IPs are incredibly unlikely because of rights or timeliness) this will be a new experience.

3) I know two rooms for the house. I won't share them, but they are generic to a pointless degree. That said, those rooms would fit, literally, hundreds of IPs (including Purge, TWD, IT, Halloween, The Blob, A Quiet Place, The Exorcist, Nosferatu, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and Frasier). There would be an infinite number of original possibilities with that.

But I'm certain it's not Alice again.

So, even if it's an IP we've seen before, it WON'T be an IP we've seen HERE before. It'll be a brand new house.

Have they always had the same general rate of prop reuse? From what I’ve seen, in 21 it seems like most of the houses had a really high budget with mostly new sets.

That said, Dead Waters is reassurance that they’re still making grand sets. :)

SETS are new. Props are not. And the props are what makes a house (ie-Spawning and Havoc were the exact same house. Same layout. Same scare locations. Just different costumes and props.) I'd go out on a limb and say the prop reuse rate has increased, because they have more props to actually reuse. Their warehouses probably have enough props to fill twenty-plus mazes. They keep stuff as long as they can, and basically throw everything they can at decor. Their caskets are twenty years old at this point.

It is interesting reading HHN wiki and seeing what’s been used in different houses and zones. Like the bell from Skoolhouse being used in Forsaken, for just one example.

One of my favorites is the “zombie cart” from several TWD houses (the push cart with the zombie dummies on it), was repurposed as an elf cart in Krampus

Even Dead Waters used a very obvious Dead Man’s Wharf mask from 26.

The Plague Doctors costumes were the Body Collectors costumes, with different buttons.

A few of the demons in Fallen wore the Krampus elf costumes; and it felt like everything in the Insidious section of HoB was recycled/repurposed props from the 25 Insidious house and a few others(the electrocution guy from Afterlife specifically). As far as this year I read somewhere that DE is gonna repurpose some of TWD masks

Really? I guess the different masks make a big difference since they don’t look alike at all

Not to re-open The Thing door but what if it’s codename Feature? The Thing From Another World was a Creature Feature movie in the 50’s and 60’s and John Carpenter’s The Thing is an 80’s Cult Classic which would fit in with the theme of this year

I think this slipped under people’s radars. Maybe Snacks is a sequel to Silver Screams or All Nite Die In?

Why do you belive of an IP as a return maze? The would have to pay for it so I would say an OP would be much easier and sth. like Psychoscarepy could be very cheap and popular at the same time.

I was just throwing in my 2 cents on the idea of a return maze, and because when they added a ninth maze to the event we got AWiL duplicated, and then a Halloween 2 house the next year so I used that to deduce if they added a tenth house it might be a duplicate of an IP.

There’s been a lot that have slipped under people’s radars.

Like my zone hints.

I'm not convinced many even have their radars turned on.

So with that, assuming it’s correct, we already can determine:

IP’s:
- Fireball: Stranger Things
- Dynamite - Clue 2: Trick ‘r Treat
- Coach - Clue 4: Poltergeist
- Surprise - Clue 7: Happy Death Day

Originals:
- Zero - Clue 1: Dead Exposure: Patient Zero
- Meteor - Clue 6 - Rainbow: Scary Tales: Path of the Wicked
- Snacks - Clue 8: ANDI 3 or SS2(my guess is Thing & Lost Boys will be in this since they’re both speculated but unlikely to have they’re own houses at this point, and Legacy stated this house will be gory)
- Ragtag - Clue 3: ?(probably been found already)
- Poison - Clue 5: Stated by Legacy to be potentially gory depending on how they go with it

Which leaves Feature as the unknown house, which could potentially be a returning one.
