I'm honestly curious if this means we get a house announcement next month. For HHN 31 and HHN 33 we got a house announcement a month or so after the dates reveal.

I know we have to start earlier this year with announcements especially with everything going on, but there is just no way.

I'm very curious to see how announcements are handled this year. Will they try to get some of the big stuff out early so they can have all of March and April to promote EU?

Or do they wait to announce stuff until after EU has been open for a month or so?

Will be very interesting to see. The last thing you want is to tie a HHN IP into Epic Universe marketing/media.

I wouldn't be surprised to not hear until June. Of course, this is a company that loves to change things last minute so who knows. Bookings at hotels can be down Sept-Oct so they might push announcements earlier.

Feel like they could at least announce Last of Us to tie in with the TV show, no?

Honestly? I think we could see most of the houses announced by end of April, since May and probably June-early August will all be dedicated to Epic hype/promo.

I’m in line with this thinking. My guess would be 5-7 announced by around mid-April. May, June, and half of July all Epic. Then end of July-August the remaining houses and scarezones.

Gives you some HHN hype/excitement before and after Epic. And still gives you a solid two months of nothing but Epic.

I'd go the other way, everything all about Epic through June, then start announcements in July to drive hype and excitement for HHN and the resort (including Epic) for Fall. I don't want this to be true but I would bet on them wanting as few competing projects or distractions as possible from now through Epic's first month then try and drive as much traffic to the resort as a whole. The creative teams doing the promos for the announcements need time to do the work and I would think they are all busy prepping their content for Epic. Once they are done with that they could move on to HHN and other normal stuff.

Announcing houses in March doesn't drive the general public to your event in Sept/Oct. It would only be for die hard fans and lets face it we are going regardless.

Not sure if this is an error or if it’s intentional, but the calendar on the “Seasonal Fun” page has Tuesday, September 16th listed as a HHN night and Thursday, September 18th has no HHN.

Perhaps there’s some sort of private event/park buyout that Thursday, or alternatively, maybe that night is the return of Premium Scream night? Personally, my main complaint last year was how it felt like a preview, so doing it a bit later when all the actors have found their groove might make the experience a bit better. Thoughts?

Regarding the date, HHN has had buyouts before so it could be possible.

I do agree however that a premium scare night should be held at the "sweet spot" of HHN's cast. Ideally in the 3rd or 4th week.

My gut feel on this was that they want a way to profit off of the influencers more than anything else given that they're there for media preview night anyway.

Like how they jacked up opening day parking at their new Best Western to $65. While I agree with @UniversalRBLX a mid-event night would be best for guests, I'm sure UOR sees it as a cash-grab first and foremost.

Yeah that’s another interesting point to consider for sure - I think the main allure of the event last year was being “first” - but the turnout was low since the pool of influencers and hardcore fans willing to pay $350 was less than the actual attendance cap of the event, so I wonder if it was even profitable for them. I think moving it to a mid-run date would potentially attract a whole different demographic, if certain adjustments are made.

In my opinion, I think the price point should be around $199, the attendance cap should remain the same and the “all you can eat” aspect could turn into a preloaded five or eight punch lanyard/sampling card for the food booths.

WoM was really positive from this last year, if I was in leadership I would put more money into an ad campaign and give it the old college try for another year, maybe with your punch card suggestion added in.

Like everybody else here who didn't go, I'm kicking myself for not going to the $350 event last year. I'd have had to book a flight, room, etc so it would have ended up costing well over a grand for me to go....and already had RoF+Express and a whole trip already booked. Just not feasible.

Now this year, if they have it again, I'm not even considering going unless they announce the amount of tickets being sold (which they'll never do). I have a feeling if they do it again, it will be MOBBED as I can't see them greatly restricting attendance and everybody who missed out like me, or went last year and loved it, would be expecting the same crowds and lines it was last year and I that's not realistic.

If there's more advertising, then you can add in the locals who maybe only go one or two nights, who maybe get an RIP tour, and if they can go for $350 with "small lines", free parking, and free food & (non alcoholic) beverages, that might sway them adding to the number of attendees.

I have a feeling it's going to packed and end up just being like any old Wednesday in October with free food thrown in. The crowds won't be peak, and with no express lines the regular lines will move much faster, but not sure if that's worth $350.

Agreed - I might be hopeful/optimistic on this point, but I think it would be surprising if they didn't do it at least one more year, to see if it would make more $$$ now that it has been hyped up.

Gonna be honest, even if they sell 3x as many tickets as they did this last year it would still be shorter lines than any random Wednesday
