And for posterity:

There are four song references in the clue: “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, “Bleed for Me” by Dead Kennedys, “Imagine One Day” by Grace, and “Bittersweet Symphony” by the Verve (Led by Richard Ashcroft).

Leon Kennedy & Grace Ashcroft are characters from the Resident Evil games.

Here I am thinking it was a Cruel Intentions house!

If we're now talking best options, then like we're talking about Hellraiser, Scream, and IT, right?

A rumored lineup of Hellraiser, IT and Resident Evil would be absolutely phenomenal.

Fingers crossed it comes to fruition

The rumored IPs sound great and I am just thrilled that Stranger Things isn't getting a lot of traction ....yet... I am good to retire that from HHN. Keep the current vibe of IPs up please!!! Lol!

I mean, while yes it’s technically “too soon” for the return of the Pumpkin Lord, I’ll happily take him and another Wicked Growth house over Stranger Things.

Just to throw it out there, based on the recent rumors, you could pretty nicely map a set of rumored IPs for this year to the ones we just had..

Super Popular / Family Friendly IP: Five Nights at Freddy's / Stranger Things 5
Popular Modern Horror IP: Terrifier / It
Classic Horror: Jason Universe / Hellraiser
Post-Apocalyptic / Zombie: Fallout / Resident Evil
Quirky / Experimental: WWE / Ozzy or INK

I'm pretty out of the loop so genuinely asking here. I've seen the hints for Resident Evil, Ozzy, and IT. Are Hellraiser and ST5 not just pure fan wishes as of now?

Hellraiser got speculated pretty early from what I understood to be credible sources. I am less certain about ST5. I thought I had similarly seen credible sources (which is not me, to be clear, lol) on that, but I might be misremembering, and that one might be more a "it must be coming" type of comment.

Keep in mind there is not a slasher speculated yet in this rumored lineup. IDK if I would consider Hellraiser or It slashers, but generally they would usually like to have one. Theres always a first time for everything though and it’s possible we may not have a “classic slasher” IP. They certainly would t need one if this is all true.

Definitely true - I always enjoy the classic slasher house myself, though It and Hellraiser would still scratch the itch of iconic horror properties for me personally.

If this was our IP lineup, I would think it would be more likely that we would then get a slasher original in Orlando (for example, in 2024, the Unmasking the Horror guide noted that Universal felt more inclined to create something like Triplets of Terror since their IP lineup that year did not have a classic slasher).

For Hollywood, it could also mean that they would be more likely to do a classic slasher as the Hollywood IP exclusive - that is what they did with Legacy of Leatherface in 2024, for example.

If there isn’t a slasher included in the shared IP lineup, I absolutely think Michael Myers would be the exclusive for Hollywood.

EDIT: I legit forgot that 33 didn’t have a slasher IP! Yeah I could totally see a classic slasher IP not happening at Orlando this year and Hollywood using Halloween.

The houses for this year are locked.

If Gremlins is on the table for this year (or next, frankly), it’s because WB and Universal started discussing it well before bids were even accepted.

It will most likely be next year, as it would align up with the release of “Gremlins 3.”

Yeah, 33 didn’t have a slasher IP, but honestly, Orlando didn’t need one. To fill the void of not having a slasher IP house, A&D literally created their own slasher icons... the Triplets of Terror.

EDIT: Completely missed @EAS made that point too.

Well I think the Triplets are important now, that they’re important to the lore.

I don't know. Regardless of where rumors currently are nearly a year out, this just seems like an irresponsible expectation to set. We'll see what happens.

With the rumored IPs, I will say personally that's a pretty stellar list for me so far.

Hellraiser - I'm pretty much with @Brian G. on wanting this IP, there's a lot to play with and all sorts of directions they can go.

IT - While I'm not as big on this IP as others, there is zero doubt this is a massive "How the hell did they get this?!" kind of IP. That is certainly the kind of monster IP to follow up after what we got this year.

Resident Evil - For me, this is actually one of the more exciting ones. Why? Because by many accounts the last attempt wasn't good! I know it's weird being excited for something because it sucked, but by that logic...A&D now has a great opportunity to give us a much better house! I'm all for the event doing a redo of something which didn't work, as that's far more intriguing than giving us a sequel of a beloved house where the only place it can go is down.
