Once you go (private) RIP, you don’t go back.

I have never done a RIP tour, and I personally don't see a need to. Private maybe but for that much IDK. I'll personally rather get express and do the event at my own pace and do what I want. For private you can do what you want but after paying that much, I'll feel like you have to take advantage of it and not relax (Sitting in the zones, taking breaks, getting food) So going multiper nights with express will win for me for now.

Hahaha we only go once a year and have some that have a little issue standing in line. I myself remember the year we decided to start we were in line for Ghostbusters for 2hrs and everyone’s feet were killing em.

Let's agree to disagree on this one. I'm with Capt. We also travel for this event - coming down four weekends. However, we only do two nights per weekend with rare exceptions. I can do a lot of walking without issue. I mean, I walk the dog 4 miles per day. That being said, HHN is a way different animal because the walking on average is 6-8 miles per night. I can't do that for consecutive nights anymore. I also can't just stand for hours in lines as it absolutely wrecks my body. So, express is an absolute must for us (my group is all around the same age with same issues).

There are more reasons people need express than just skipping the line. Stating "if you go more than 3 days in a season, you don't need express" is presumptuous and ridiculous.

I'm not going to get sucked into the whole "they aren't doing multi-night passes with express" thing again this year. I made myself absolutely insane over last year for no good damn reason. Uni is a BUSINESS and express is absolutely gravy for them. I find it very difficult to believe they would remove express from any pass it's already been attached to for decades. IF they happen to do that - I will not travel for this event like I have for the last 21 years.

Something you may want to look into would be renting an ECV. I know, I know, they have a bad rep, but they can save you a lot of walking. You can't take them into the houses, but you can use them to get from one area of the park to another. I mean, their middle name is "Convenience" after all. And if you don't want to rent one from Universal, there are many companies in the Orlando area that rent them and will drop them off / pick them up from your hotel. (Getting from your hotel to the parks if not on property with one may be difficult however).

For the longest time Halloween night was slow because (1) people have kids who want to trick or treat and (2) if you're a singleton in your 20s or 30s, every bar in town is offering a party, usually with a high-value prize to encourage risqué costumes.
With the shift of the event toward adolescents/teens (roughly since Stranger Things arrived), Halloween night is much more crowded, with kids too old to trick or treat and too young to drink.

I've heard this went down to the wire last year, and I understand UOR's reasoning. But UFF+X alone is basically a cool half million in "free" revenue. And any change threatens to alienate the whales already upset they can't buy their way into Epic after a year. I could see the 2 pm house openings as some sort of balancing, but I'm not sure the the hard-core fans will agree.

I went for the first time as a teen and I always felt like they targeted a teenage audience from their marketing that I think even featured teenagers (late 90s/early 2000s). But I could see more wanting to do Halloween at HHN in the last 10 or so years, especially as a party type event (start at Citywalk and make your way in).

So I'm over the hill now, but back in my day we would have been at Pleasure Island or Church Street Station or Firestone or Parliament or someplace like that. I'm not even sure if there are big clubs left in Orlando...

This is kinda where I'm at- I don't have much of a desire to do a non-private one lol

This is where the rare time HHN-Hollywood does a better job than HHN-Orlando: their non-private RIP tours can continue to loop back to the houses after their tour is over and still use the RIP front-of-line access.

They had alcohol every 10 feet, with Jello shot girls and "Ice cold beer here!" guy in between. Not saying teens didn't go, but pretty clear the target demo was 21+ (or at least had very good fake IDs).
