Thanks for posting that, I only had my own audio recording of the panel...

After listening to it several times I don't think Hermione's voice is that bad. Yes, it's clearly not Emma, but I wasn't distracted by it, either.

It's bad. She sounds 40 years old.

I don't think filming is that big of a deal in this case with the way they are used, cgi and shadow views of them are fine, but VoiceOver work doesn't even require a tremendous amount of effort from them. They wouldn't even need to fly over to wherever they filmed the material for this ride, it's as simple as going to a studio and recording the scripted lines. A couple of hours at most.

Yes, fans need to pressure them into doing it. They can literally do it wherever they are in the world.

I must say I don't like the canned response they have for people that feel misled.

I wish I felt the same way. I think the problem for me is that if they decided to use a voice actor instead of Emma, couldn't they get closer to her voice than that? I really think they could have done a much better job on this. With all of the attention of detail they give to these attractions, this should have been a higher priority. To be honest I'd rather not hear Hermione's voice at all if it was going to be that bad. Just see her silent shadow while the superior Harry and Ron voices do all the talking!

The only logical(sarcasm) explanation is they went with a voice suitable for hermoine in the epilogue of the deathly hallows

I agree that the Hermione voice on Hogwart's Express is pitched lower than Emma Watson's, but the timbre is very similar. That's probably why this particular VO actress was cast in the first place.

That's all I'm saying.

So now it's nitpicky to say that Hermione doesn't sound anything like Hermione? I sing high praises all the time. I'm just pointing out that it's hilariously not anything like Emma Watson's voice.

Hermione speaks at around :50.

I remember when I first saw the train video a couple of days ago, I kept thinking, "Who Is that woman???? who is on the train? Who is Talking??"

I spent all day trying to wonder who that was, but then when I came here I realized it was Hermione

Haha! The funny thing is, she didn't even look THAT old in the epilogue portion of the movie.

I'm glad you agree. I seriously can't believe that somebody wouldn't think this is a big deal.

Here's the HE POV video if anybody wants to compare again. You can hear "Hermione's" voice at around 0:45 and 2:53.

To anybody who has gone on Gringotts, is the layout with all the screens and scenes in order?

Red lines are the screens, orange is the direction the cars face, gray is the overhead track, green is the coaster sections. There are rock walls between all the screens.
1) Bellatrix & see-saw
-twisty track
2) Bill & Harry pull up
3) Trolls push us over (Same screen)
Overhead track
4) Griphook in front of vaults (Released clip in video)
5) Dragon
6) Nargini
-small coaster dip
7)lava room
-launch and hill
8)Good-bye

Fixed link.

Also how many total trains there are for the ride?

so I just watched the train video, and to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. Makes me feel like deciding to save money on the one park ticket may not be such a bad decision.

also, I don't find her voice to be THAT off.

Sorry, you really can't judge the ride by these videos. In person it's simply brilliant (except for that voice).

yeah that sounds absolutely nothing like Hermione. Is not only that she sounds older but the way she speaks is very very different.

Your photobucket link is broken, but on the list #5 (the 2nd troll attack/freefall/dragon scene) should come between the overhead track & the vaults (#4, who is actually Blordak, not Griphook)
