Teebin, I'll be honest, I don't remember anything besides the screens. I know there has to be physical sets, and the images floating around show that, but when you're in the vehicle you don't see much physical set, or like I said earlier it's probably there but just extremely well merged with the film. I was experiencing sensory overload and was kinda dazed when I road it because I was excited and it all feels like a blur, but I just cannot remember much in the sense of physical sets. I'll try and ride again soon, without the glasses this time.

is it because of how dark the ride is?

Yeah, I will admit that there is a raised evacuation platform in the distance in that breakdown picture. That platform 100% indicates that you are pointing 180 degrees from all that gorgeous rock carving (to the unseen left). Cannot they add a few streaks of light high up for just a hintsy? What is the point of it otherwise?

Hey guys! Just popping in to say I noticed plenty of physical sets! I can particularly attest to this because my ride vehicle was stopped for about a minute due to a glitch in the video. I made a point to remove my glasses and look around ;) in the scene before me I could see some physical track running through the caverns walls (what would be above your ride vehicle, or just next to it), and in the scene that would be coming up if we hadn't stopped, there was an opening in the wall (similar in style to those drains in the Chamber of Secrets film). Does this make sense? All I know is there is plenty of physical sets in this ride, they are just beautifully blended! I'm just a nerd and had to take advantage of the ride interruption and had to look around!

So, rumor is they were up to six trains last night, and they were for sure using both sides of the loading area. Delayed opening today, if I had to guess it was to get some cycles in with more trains on the track, but that's just a guess.

Really good news, I was thinking last night that they must have pushed it to four if they were using both sides but I never imagined they'd have been up to six. It'll be really interesting to see how it copes after 9am today but I'm glad to see they're willing to take a bit of extra time to give themselves preparation time and the best possible chance of making it through today.

Actually, now that you mention it, it does look like the corner of a screen in the top left of edge of the photo. (Haven't ridden yet, so can't say with certainty)

It would make sense, since that is the direction that the train is facing.... Away from the beautiful physical sets.

From TouringPlans:

Gotta feel sorry for that TM, she may be smiling but it doesn't look like anyone else is. Now 1hr 49 mins after it should have opened and still no progress. This must now be unexpected rather than just a deliberate extension of the intended delay this morning, so I can't imagine why they haven't evac'ed the queue if they apparently have "No estimated time" for it opening.

Seth just posted a pic on Twitter saying that Gringotts has been closed all morning. Guests look pissed.

They told people who got in the queue they had no timetable for opening. I feel slightly sorry for the guests, but they were warned.

How can you feel slightly sorry. The ride/area opened two days ago. If they said it'll be open on the 8th, it should've been functioning. I would be pissed as hell. They should've opened mid July. This is unaccapetble.

A one day vacation can easily add up to $1000 for a family of 4, staying onsite. I expect to have everything functioning properly after the grand opening.

Because they were warned it wouldn't be opening for a while. They decided to get in line. It's a new ride. Stuff happens.

SDMT has been breaking down for large swathes of time as well. It's just that no one cares about it so it doesn't get coverage.

Ah, I was under the impression they were told 9. To be fair, I'd be sitting there waiting too if I had my way and I wouldn't even care haha. Just being in there would be cool!

Something small but interesting that I noticed yesterday in the Single Rider line. The 3D glasses bins are located fairly early in the queue, which surprised me they would place them there. So many opportunities (and so much waiting time) after that to accidentally drop it, scratch it on the brick wall, or even worse drop it from the tall staircase that follows. And so much time left for bored guests to fidget with it while waiting in that line. For Spiderman and other 3D rides you don't get the glasses till just before the loading area, so much less chance of them getting damaged.

Back up and running. What they were working on should make up for the delay.

So does that mean full capacity? Or they got the 6 trains from last night to run reliably?

At least 5 trains. 4 was giving them hiccups this morning for a bit too long, hence the longer delay.
