Kinda wonder if they shouldve just called the Orlando version Mummy: Legends Collide and the Hollywood version Dracula: Legends Collide or something like that to make it more clear what people should expect.
Is it kinda a clunky name? Yes.
Would it make it more clear that there's gonna be uneven monster rep? Also Yes. :tease:

Well, this is what happens when Orlando wants to do a Mummy vs. Wolfman house and Hollywood wants to do a Mummy vs. Dracula house... but marketing insists they have to agree on a singular concept so they can do a unified push.

I’m prematurely starting the campaign for Phantom vs. Gillman next year. Make it happen, creative!!

Anyhoo, I’m a big Mummy fan and even though Hollywood’s Anubis design looks pretty great, I’m still excited to see the good boi represented here

Kinda spoiler so I'll tag it just in case but weird thing I've noticed,
I think it's kinda funny how I've seen some people acting like having 1 monster win over another is some kind of plot hole, like because the mummy decapitates wolfman one night that means hes dead for good and can't come back for part 2. Like, did they forget the whole fact that he can't die through normal means because of his curse? Have they not at least seen Monster Squad?

I don't know about y'all, but I LOVE this house! IMO, hands-down the best Monsters house so far. So many great scares and 1-2 punches with Mummy and Wolfman.

But, that's my one problem, you can really tell they wanted this to just be Mummy Vs. Wolfman, because Dracula doesn't show up until the final scenes, and even then only has like 2 scares. Also, you never really see them actually fight like you would in Freddy Vs. Jason.

Besides that though, great house. Beautiful sets, lots of really good scares, and some good smells.

I went through it again tonight and it was amazing. I don't know if they added actors or monster ratio or what but everything worked. I feel like this house is really starting to rocket up my rankings for the year. I hope people get to experience it the way I did tonight. The first night it was very imbalanced and not very good. Tonight, however, was S Tier.

sets wise this is one of the absolute greatest houses i have ever seen in my entire life. some of the coolest sets ever made. you truly feel like you are inside a pyramid or something. wow, wo wow.... it legit transports you to another realm,
im Not being sarcastic. amazing. truly amazing. incredible. i felt in a different city
this belongs as the queue for the mummy ride. imagine. this could be its own daytime attraction

More than a few people are reporting a lot of holes in this house both on employee preview and opening night. Can anyone else corroborate / give the scoop on what’s going on?
yes characters are missing
at least 3 places i think. fully missing i felt

I really liked this one! A lady in front of me froze after the big boo scare toward the end and had to be escorted out. She was shaken. Her friend ran ahead and abandoned her :(

This house is an absolute blast. After preview, I thought nothing this year was going to touch DMP but I can't help but feel that this is my favorite house through opening weekend.

My first run was average. And after one run I would probably agree with most of the things being said here and elsewhere.

Runs 2 and 3 have given me some of the best scares and "wow!" moments I have had since I started going in 23.

My quick spoiler free thoughts:
- Incredible sets from facade to finale. Diverse and massive in scale.
- FILLED with scareactors and well placed boo-holes
- Aggressive scareactors and good costume design

My longer, spoiler filled thoughts:

- Having a massive anubis facade with a big ol full moon in the background sets the scene immaculately.

- Despite all being the same setting, the sets are incredibly diverse. From dig site to temple to caverns and on and on the sets never felt bare and showed great height and depth. They really make amazing use of this space and no matter where you look you are surrounded by really solid theming. I love the sky backdrops they have in some areas too. Something they are doing well this year in general.

- I, for one, am SO happy that the Egyptian theme is consistent throughout the house. It keeps the story coherent and this setting is something we have seen much less of than the forest or a dracula style castle.

-The story actually plays through well if you are relatively informed going in. I know that most people won't know or care to know about why these monsters are fighting - but the Amulet appears multiple times and Dracula coming in at the end actually makes sense when considering that, in the story, he is a beneficiary that comes in at the last moment. It also makes sense that he then transports the story to London (Hollywood) where he will be more prominently featured.

- I've seen some comments that the legends don't actually fight each other. I completely disagree. The number of live action (not screenz like FvJ) fight scenes I have seen is awesome and IMO they work very well if caught at the right time.

- There is one scene where Dracula came out on a bungee followed by the wolfman and mummy coming out from either side of me posing to attack Dracula together as he swung over them. It was SO EFFING METAL. Amazing scene at literally had me clapping with the biggest grin on my face.

- The mummy scareactors are SO aggressive and in your face. Kudos to all the actors here and especially the mummies. Some of them put their face barely an inch in front of mine and they were constantly swiping hands in front of me. They also are making very good use of the double sided boo holes and will follow you if they get a good scare the first time.

- Not only does this house have a different winner every night, but I am guessing there are more than 3 possible endings. There are 3 scrims at the end that each show a different monster being killed. So far I have seen Dracula staked up against the wall and the Mummy with the amulet ripped from his chest. There is also always one of the 3 monsters holding another monsters head. If what I am thinking is true that means that there are 5 possible endings.

This is sorta on topic/off topic. I haven't been through the house yet as I don't go till the 15th but I am curious how long they plan on going with the current Monsters houses at HHN. Like, I wonder how many more houses they might do after this? I loved the previous two houses and I am sure to love this one as I am a sucker for the Monsters.

Just a guess but I wouldn't be surprised if Orlando gets 2-3 more depending on how they stack up to the competition in guest interest. So long as most guests want more, it's probably guaranteed to stick around since it's something popular they don't have to license.

hopefully they do plan a creature from black lagoon house. we really need that. i really hope

As long as they kept the ideas fresh I would be down for a monsters house every year. I already think of these as quazi-originals since they are coming up with their own stories using the monsters. And so far personally they are 3/3 with each house being a top 3 house of the year. Just keep it fresh and keep rotating the monsters we see and maybe every few years you do a mashup house. A mini HHN monsters mcu lol.

A hunchback house will be insane with the sets. Like that gargoyle house we had years ago ( 2012) I think

Bring back the same sets, bring back those gargoyles.
