There's been a large number of posts on the Universal AP FB site that describes a sometimes glitch in the rates charged on customer's bills. So if you're staying in one of Universal/Lowes hotels, double check your billing....In most of the cases it involved mobile check in and/or when a guest updates their requests. What happens is that the AP rate discount/stay more save more discount rate at booking is automatically changed to the full non discounted day rate. This involves a significant daily rate increase. This glitch has been happening for a few months now and continues. So, be aware they haven't fixed this yet and get confirmation of your rate at the check in desk and after you're billed. And keep your original reservation/number and daily rate printout as proof.

Well, Loews is constantly changing their rates, so if you make a change you are also subject to the new rates and need to make sure you are doing the change correctly. The closer to your visit the more likely a AP or Save more rate will disappear. Can't comment on a mobile check in glitch. I do always have to ask for a final bill as they mess up e-mailing it to me almost every trip.

Supposedly they have a new software program and that's what's glitching, even though the affected guests didn't actually change their reservation. They were just doing the normal prompts that actually encourage you to do mobile check in and/or allow you to modify your room requests (floor/check in time etc.). In the past these didn't trigger rate issues. All the guests that caught it and complained were reimbursed, so Lowes recognizes they have a problem(s), but it's still a headache to get it taken care of after you leave the resort. And the guests who don't double check their final charges end up getting screwed. This is something that needs to be fixed by Lowes, especially with Epic opening. Lots of angry guests don't make for repeat visits. This has been happening for a number of months now and that's really unacceptable it hasn't been fixed yet.

Not a charge glitch but our Kid's Suite at Aventura was oversold and they said they've been having problems with Universal's booking for awhile now. It keeps jumping around for which one it wants to overbook. They said its the kid's suites right now, before was the kings, etc
