Hopefully won’t be as expensive….but this is Cedar Flags, so who are we kidding?

Actually, this happened about 2 months ago. It's only relatively recently the sign came down, though.

Yea. That's not news. As has been said, it's been closed for a few months & when it was actually open, the hours were very minimal. Also Knott's is the one who would staff it, sooooo... yea

They better not get rid of Claim Jumper from across the street or else I’m pulling up and wreaking havoc.

That has nothing to do with Knotts. Nor is it even owned or operated by them.

It does make me wonder what Knott's will put in there... another chain restaurant, or a Cedar Fair branded one? Or maybe just change it into more retail?

As i said before... just make it a Snoopy themed restaurant.

Problem is, doesn't matter what happens to it if Knotts doesn't change their ways of operation/staffing. Might as well flatten it for parking space or gut it for expanded Peanuts retail space.

Warm Puppy Cafe is right there for the taking. @Wesker69 is right though — if it’s not operated regularly and reliably, they may as well bulldoze it.

I've held off on posting this just to see if things would improve, but apparently operations at Knotts has gotten far worse. Total :poop: show.

From a few friends that still work there in different departments, things have gotten progressively bad. Knotts keeps hiring more people, instead of scheduling the employees they have. They've also been severely reducing hours/shifts, even when it's Spring Break/Boysenberry Festival. Even if someone is lucky to get scheduled 4-5 days, at least 2-3 of those shifts are ONLY 4hr shifts!! The weeks leading up to Boysenberry, I was told that they'd remove shifts because the "attendance projection was low".

As of January 1st, employees apparently got a raise of $0.50... so now most are only getting paid $16.50/hr. And their scheduled hours barely hit 30 each week. It's bad.

From what I've heard, the excuse about budget keeps getting used. Which reminds me, one of the ride-ops friends told me that the "ride-ops budget has been reduced" & I guess normally they'd open with 2 leads, but now only 1 for an entire area.

In other news, Wipeout is apparently still waiting on a part in order for it to get put back together & resume operation. And it also sounds like Montezooma has possibly been delayed .....again.

I know they were doing this back in 2021, too, at least for some areas. I recall a time a lead called in sick so one lead had to open multiple areas. The park is, in my opinion, operated nearly as skeletal as Magic Mountain and management makes no effort to beef that up during the busy times.

It’s, again in my opinion, a miserable place to work and I have no idea why someone would take it on when the Target down the street will pay just as well. I’ve been really disappointed by how the park is operated over the past few years and it’s absolutely impacted how frequently I visit.

I must have missed when it closed. It was never really on my radar and half the time it seemed like it wasn't open anyway.

Like others have said, not related at all to the park but IIRC most of the really cool theming they had in there has been stripped away.

Agree. Unless it's a 3rd party operated thing, I just see whatever takes it place ending up like Friday's eventually.

We lost every Claim Jumper in AZ, not sure if its just us but does not seem to bode well.

The Claim Jumper near-ish Magic Mountain closed some time ago. Quite a few of them have closed, though enough seem to be hanging on (for now).

The whole TGI Fridays chain is on the rocks financially, so it’s not surprising

"Please visit Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant" hahaha trying to go to Friday's and ending up at Mrs. Knotts is like mining for copper and finding diamonds

Aight, what’s going on with Monty now? It sounds like it’s being intentionally delayed to “compete” against F&F and whatever SFMM is opening up. I’m glad it’s ant least happening, but it REALLY irks me that it’s taking this long.
