what happened to the big kong robots?
anyone know
i loved this ride
i remember taking my picture afterwards in the gift shop
why did they close this ride
its like disney closing the haunted mansion
i dont know why universal takes away all the classic rides and leaves nothing
i also uses to like murder she wrote and hitchcock
i was only about 8 or 9
just seems like they should leave some classic rides

Parts of the large AA were stored in the old hard rock building. I don't know what happened to it since then.

I know one of the heads still exists, along with an arm. Wouldn't be able to tell you about anything else though.

why did they close this ride

They wanted that space for the sheer size of the already existing building. Saved -alot- on construction costs and Kong, just like JAWS, was a pretty big maintenance nightmare.
