Level of darkness for Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle

I've only heard good things about the new light show, but does the level of darkness affect the projection mapping on the castle much? Some days the earliest show is like 5:20. Is it really dark enough to get the full effect then?

Its usually dark by 5pm in southern California.

Yeah, considering how even at like 5:35 PM MT now, it get's darker more early as the year goes on. You should be fine with the show at night, and if anything; I would possibly recommend if you can, to see the later shows in the evening.

its only going to get darker for 21 more days when the winter solstice hits, then the days will start to get longer
