Maybe the success of Game of Thrones has seen a new interest in the idea.

AFAIK it never closed. The neighborhood has gone downhill, but it still seems to pull a crowd every night.

ETA: you may be thinking of Arabian Nights, or Dixie Stampede--both pretenders (tho Arabian Nights had better food) that have closed.
