Turns out, It makes the project have 9 acres; with the inclusion of ETA, Kidzone Pizzeria, AA, Barney, Curious, Fival & the Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster. In placing a comparison; Carsland is 12 acres I believe.

Cars Land is also like 75% wasted space. I believe Diagon is ~8acres, so Nintendo would be even bigger than that. Plus, if Teebin's hints about Mario Kart being a multilevel attraction are correct, we'll have plenty of space for another big ride, shops, restaurants, and maybe a flat ride or two? Universal has kind of become a master at allocating space.

Also, FWIW, Miitomo is released on Thursday. It's Nintendo's first app, will be the hub for their new rewards program, and will apparently have theme park integration when the lands open.

That's why I said of Tokyo's Monster Inc attraction. From all the photos and videos, it seems like Disneys best job in Shooter Dark Rides.

Ehhhhh. Ride and Go Seek is a GREAT ride, don't get me wrong. But the interactivity is largely inconsequential to the experience. I'm not sure it would work well for "catching" ghosts.

Maybe a screen/dark ride hybrid would work, though

That'd be cool. I don't think we'll end up with a Luigi's Mansion ride, but that would be neat

Wanted to make another evaluation to how big it could be..and if you include some of the path on the street going to springfield, bordering the NBC Preview center, ET, and the backstage roads..and the pizza..it brings to this.

uHZnmbo.jpg

Encase you can't read that. That's about 10.16 acres. And that ain't including the parade building at all..and you may be thinking that its big. But its two acres shy of that 12 acres I talked about before, with Carsland.

The Springfield sign I can easily see moved around to a different vicinity, close to the area entrances of Springfield. That can be done. And with using the backstage road a bit behind the pizzeria and ET, it adds a lot of space...

So, thoughts on it possibly being about two acres shy of 12?

Considering Universal is a lot better at using their space than Disney does (IMO), I think 10 acres is pretty dang good

Is 10 acres big enough for Nintendo? Is Diagon bigger than 10 acres?

Diagon is "only" 8-ish

How much space is there without getting rid of ET?

7.96 Acres. It'd be a little bit larger by DA, but that'd be by about .30 ahead of Diagons 7.65 Acres

If the goal is 3-5 attractions (which seems like it from past sayings); then I wonder if ET will even last, as with 10 acres; you can spread out the attractions to different sections of the area, making it not as packed as it may seem.

Do we know if the parade building is staying? Using that area back there would change the land dynamics a bit

Screw the parade building. Keep ET. The park needs MORE attractions with the continual growth in visitors. They can build a new parade building elsewhere for much cheaper than a new E ticket ride.

Sure, that's the preferred situation, but it looks like whether ET stays or goes, the parade building isn't included in the project

Yeah that's what I've heard. I guess I would feel differently if I felt we really had a quality parade.

I just feel like the Parade Building thing could always change. So many times Universal makes last minute changes in their direction and scope on projects. While the Parade Building is important, it COULD be relocated fairly easily.

No doubt. I mean this ET situation seems like a brand new situation. Things change.

Thought: The parade float building doesn't need to be where it is. There's no reason for it to be there. Also, the Spring Houses for HHN can move as well fairly easily.

So if you take those two out and then plan to enter the area from MIB you have a pretty large space to work with and you can leave both ET and Animal Actors (and Sponge Bob and the pizza place) as is.

Heck, you could have access from both sides.

Yeah... I'm 1000% more in favor of tearing down Animal Actors and Spongebob Storepants and the pizza place than risking moving the sprung tents for anything.
