Options for the handicap / accessible impaired individuals for visiting the park.

My grandparents are coming next month and want to visit Universal Studios, they are huge fans. I used to park at preferred parking or front of the gate spots. With the construction at Woody parking lot is it more difficult to get a spot now? And is frankenstein parking garage still open to the public? They have trouble with stairs and inclines. Thanks for any recommendations.
