See I thought of early access for SNW too, the issue would be that they'd have to stop making money on the current Early Access ticket.

Fast could be an interesting substitute in that element.

I just realized something: Where is parking for hotel guests gonna be? Is the current Priority parking lot (The Kong lot?) Gonna be parking for hotel guests? Will that be enough?

Super Nintendo World would definitely be the biggest draw for any kind of early entry, even after Hollywood Drift opens. The important thing to consider is that Hollywood Drift is going to be too intense for a fair amount of visitors at the park. If F&F and Potter are the only options for early entry, Potter would likely be the only option for some, which may not be desirable enough of an incentive for people to stay at the hotel for that specific perk.

idk if the plans show it, but it should be pretty easy to integrate a garage into the base of the hotel, if not underground.

I believe the original Evolution plan had the Globe hotel planned from the getgo to have underground parking; so it'd track.

I figured. The plans didn’t make it so clear. That’s the only way I could see them having guest parking.

I'm assuming this will be a fairly high end hotel. If so, it'll have guest parking, or, at worst, all valet and they'll have dedicated spots in one of the garages for the valets.

From KTLA, USH has publicly acknowledged and brought up that they are exploring potential options for a hotel!

I hope soooooo badly this mean they are really looking into Falls lake for 2030+ because if you have a hotel down near it makes sense to make a entrance for hotel guests to be able to skip walking as much

I think the expansion in question is more the security overhaul--and more of the changes as a result of the three security hubs.

Heads up, these plans are from 2006 according to the person who found it. Almost 20 years old…:zs:

City walk does not need an expansion if they’re referring to more shops/restaurants lol. I hope they don’t get rid of the movie theater, one of the few true IMAX screens in the US.

Serious question I have based on your comment... I live in the east coast so I don't have the best judgement as to how busy CityWalk gets in Hollywood, but it seems like there's a new shop/restaurant being added/replaced every few months. So... is there any reason to believe that Universal could cut a portion of CityWalk and use it for hotel space instead?

I'm not saying to completely remove CityWalk, but do they really need to keep all the space it currently occupies? Could they chip away at the western side closer to the park in favor of park/hotel expansion?

I think the problem with that is CityWalk's value increases when more on-site hotels are added. Remove too much of CityWalk and you're losing out on the very captive audience you're developing by building hotels up on the hill.

That said, CityWalk is the pits and if they bulldozed the whole thing tomorrow I wouldn't shed a tear.

Yup. That's not to say they couldn't possibly do a second hotel later on--but right now the big one is P515. Had there of been permits for a second hotel, they would've been noticed by now due to the scope and scale.

As per the Evolution Plan, they have the option for a second hotel around that of the H-Lot and Tech Services areas; but the problem is that they need to reposition and redo Tech Services before any kind of major expansion is occurring. It's already kind of starting with P924, and I am setting up a thread for that separately as it is a massive project for us; but a second hotel's not gonna happen anytime in the immediate future.

I kind of wish they could find a way to just--toss Curious George parking into the pits of hell. Would be great to see a large CityWalk Expansion take over the parking structure area if it'd even be possible.

With the Front Gate parking being reduced by P515, I hope it won't be long until that becomes a new parking structure.

Eh.....I don't know if I'd be willing to go that far. lol

Now if they shrunk Citywalk down in half for theme park expansion, I wouldn't be too upset. Just keep the theater. That being said, I'm not paying double to eat Taco Bell onsite.

Big thing from this that isn't present is the western security hub, and how much that changes the area around the fountain display and that of the park exit.

I honestly kind of wonder if they move the neon fountain elsewhere, be for the hotel (as part of the pool area) or for CityWalk.

I wonder if they are or have considered demolishing these CityWalk shops. Would free up space, guest flow, and they could move security here into a straight line of scanners like DLR’s east security. They obviously aren’t hurting for more CityWalk space lol.
