Went to Mingo Falls today. I'm kinda sad that my vacation comes to end in a few days.

Okay, I'm depressed now. I've never seen a mountain except for in Venezuela, but I don't remember them. I just... One of my dreams is to see a mountain. Not some Disney crap, I want the real thing, the thing that took gazillions of years to make, not 6.

Grr. Florida is too flat. It's like a giant sandbar.

My jealousy. It is being very high on the meter. :/

That's a pretty bad donkey picture right there, too! I can imagine the views...

Well, you do have theme parks and a beach (although I hear one side is less preferable now...)

One can only take so much heat and crowds, and rip-tides trying to kill you. I love the crisp cool air of the hills.

Wow, I find it slightly ironic how my home is surrounded by mountains-- but I'd love to be in Orlando right now-- while the majority of you live in/near Orlando, yet would love to visit some place similar to where I live. I guess I never thought about that before lol.

Here's the other side of the mountain, displaying the no-longer-ugly Chattanooga, TN!

I say "no-longer-ugly" because I mean it. I'm soooo glad I wasn't living here in the 60s (well... I wasn't alive at all in the 60s). Nothing but factories and really thick smog :x

Oh, dude. . . . I'm still young enough to feel sorry for you :(
I'm in a unique position. Tennessee usually gets like one or two "good" (2 to 4 inches) snows a year and that's it-- so it's never something we dread, unlike the northerners.

-- update --

one final picture of Lookout Mountain... ACTION SHOT! lol

Yeah, 50 foot tall ones! That's nothing. The highest elevation in florida is 300 feet above sea level. That's ON the border of FL and AL. I live 9 feet above sea level.
