It might die off because of reviews but for now its like one the highest opening for a horror film ever

on the one hand I always feel glad when a.ovie does well, button the other hand, this always shows me that good writing is just not necessary (like with the Jurassic world movies)
why should they do a better job writing for scream 8 or the next Jurassic world movie when it doesn't really matter lol :lmao:
(I bring up last Jurassic world because the story for that movie was really bad but it did so well )

I think if they keep making them with BS reveals at some point people will leave

Saw had that issue as well the first films work because the twists were good and the connections makes sense.....the villains in this one just suck and thats why on a rewatch it won't be as good for me.

The killers in this one were fine when you apply the notion they're psychotic & completely mentally unstable. We literally got an insane asylum in this movie lol

Sure the past killers weren't exactly sane, but their motives were mostly revenge driven. Except Jill & Amber/Richie who were fame driven so insanity was definitely a factor. Which is why I was surprised Jill didn't have a highly convenient cliché cameo at the mental institution.

Circling back to this movie's killers, it wouldn't feel so underwhelming for people if Stu had been the mastermind puppeteer all along. They'd just be pawns on his chess board.

Agree to disagree but I think that is a big reason why this film isn't a top tier Scream film because the killers reveal wasn't interesting

Its made money because its a new Scream and it will be interesting to see what kind of legs it has. Like I said its not like a bad film but the ending was meh, I'm sure sequel will connect to it in some way and try to make it connect more and make sense but I just didn't really care they even died while in the last three films its be satisfying to see the killers get theirs

This movie just felt like a big 2-part storyline, kinda like how 5 & 6 are pretty clearly a 2-part storyline. But unlike the clean very clear ending with no real continuation setup of 6, this one feels like it isn't finished.

Especially with the Ghostface animatronic in the opening saying "I'm not finished yet".

This movie definitely made up for the lack of kills complaints in the previous. "Too many survivors? Hold my voice-changer" *stab-stab-stab* lol
