On USHForums, its being rumored by one of the members; Freak that SLOP may of gotten a budget cut.

Yeah, yeah, it's just a rumor, and it's not even a sure thing that Orlando is getting it, but still...

If the rumors true; I don't mind it.

As long as they keep the balance right, of Physical sets and Animatronics, with Screen based technology (Ala, Gringotts level); then I don't mind the 3D being there.

I want to see the modern Universal Creative prove that they can still actually pull off a more conventional dark ride (albeit one perhaps with a neat ride system). I had no interest in the IP to begin with, but I was very excited about the prospect of an all-ages ride full of AAs; take those off the table in favor falling back on a technique that is becoming a bit of a crutch for Universal and there's nothing to "grab" me about this.

Again, if true. Hopefully that's a big "if."

Until it gets backed up from an insider on here I won't put much faith in the rumor. But if true, I am very disappointed with this. I really want Uni to tackle something that haven't done and it be successful.

I have no insider knowledge about this whatsoever and this seems unlikely. The person who told me this rumor doesn't really have any either, but was shared with me what he heard. I don't even see why they would do this especially if they can split R&D costs by sharing it. It's simply a rumor I heard and nothing more. If an insider posts about it, then we can panic.

If it soothes people even more: in early 2014 there was a rumor floating around that Silly Swirly (the Despicable Me spinner at USH) was entirely cut from the budget while the foundation had already been made for it. Rumors have a tendency to be crazy stupid at times. (shocking, I know )

I mean, we'd probably be getting a lesser ride. There's a reason people are seeing it as a downgrade.

There is literally no reason this ride concept requires 3D. The usual argument of "3D does things physical effects can't!" doesn't fly. If it happens, it'll be entirely because of cuts.

I don't see how a budget cut would effect animatronics. I mean, these things are only $1,000 bucks or so on Amazon

Curious: What are people envisioning when they see this attraction in their minds? Mystic Manor meets Cat-in-the-Hat meets Spiderman? What are the ride vehicles?

In more "happier" rumors, Unknown from OI is reporting this will have 9 scenes. Scene 1 is labeled "Katie's Apartment" and Scene 9 is labeled "Celebration". That's a pretty long attraction.

Agreed, if they use screens like Little Mermaid or Nemo, that is fine. Screens have a place in rides and it is OK. Now if it is screen based like Transformers or Spiderman, that is a little different.
