He’s not kidding about that final raven turn. It is almost concussion inducing. However, I don’t think they have the grounds for a winning case. Tragic, but ultimately hard to place at SFMM’s fault.

Glad to hear other people talking about it. I rode it for the second time (the first time I don't remember much about the ride good or bad) in 2018 and remember laughing my head off for 90% of the ride and thinking that this was going straight into my top 10 coasters until that last raven turn and hitting my head so hard against the back of the seat that I had a headache the rest of the day. When I see people talk about how X2 and Eejainaika (which wasn't as bad as X2 roughness wise, but I also had my body very braced) are top 10 or 5 coasters, I always wonder if I'm missing something or if they're just tougher (or more hard headed) than me

Okay so I guess i got more pics than I realized during my short 5hr visit... heh.. Part of me was trying to get forum updates, the other part of me was just distracted by "must ride it", "ugh. Of course it's closed", & "ew I'm not waiting in that line".

PART 1:

**Still say this should've been a taco/nacho place since it's in the Baja section of the park.

**You can still get the Orange & Teriyaki chicken bowls with rice at Food Etc next to Goliath. That's also where I got my Dolewhip Float.

Ugh. My chest STILL hurts like hell from X2. Not even ibuprofen helped. *sigh* Dear SFMM, fix your :poop::rolleyes: Okay here's Part 2 from yesterday...

PART 2:

Coaster Project 2026... its so crazy seeing the treeless mountain of dirt in person. The last shot is from Goldrusher (lift hill 2). If the line for Full Throttle hadn't been long, I'd have gotten an even better view.

20250320_001221.jpg
Rode "Teen Titans", the ride cycle felt "too short". But it's still a fun classic flat ride.

DC Universe overall feels so open/empty without "The Flash Speed Force" & restrooms. It definitely feels & looks like an unfinished land. Unfortunately.

20250320_001303.jpg
They really need to plant palm trees in the grassy areas of Wonder Woman's queue/station. It looked unfinished. Not a fan of the open-air staircase/load platform. It very much gives strong "backstage, not for guests" vibes. Free locker system is nice though
20250320_001327.jpg

20250320_001250.jpg

In regards of the other half of DC Universe (aka Metropolis), Justice League severely needs to get extensive maintenance. It's in really bad condition, but at least no more 3D glasses. Rooms need sound proofing. Switchbacks need added to the former pre-show rooms to handle crowds & allow continuous flow. Ride is great, but so flawed.

20250320_110931.jpg
Love this coaster & it's apocalyptic theme. Plus the cushion seats are great, especially since you get thrashed around so much. Just wish they had effects like fog/fire/lighting.

20250320_001355.jpg
STILL. HATE. THE. REPAINT! The neon green & orange makes it look like "sponsored by Nickelodeon". Wish they had gone with more of a jade green for the supports like the entrance sign received. I didn't get a picture, but the trains are also a shiny metallic color giving a very elegant Asian vibe. They're gorgeous.

20250320_111300.jpg
This is so awful & unacceptable. I want my Viper arch back. This sign is so tacky & doesn't fit. I wish they'd retrofit the trains to have cushioned seats, seat belt & lap bar for a more pleasant experience. Besides, still NOT as painful as X2.

20250320_111700.jpg
They've got too many coasters now to feature lol.. I didn't get a pic of the other set of coaster arches due to people in the way.

NEW MERCH ALERT!!

20250319_173616.jpg
Kinda love the 80s/videogame style shirts for Viper & Tatsu. In love with the Asian inspired black Tatsu shirt too. It's great seeing the rides have merch again. Especially a variety.

If I was in charge of the park, this would be my 10-15 year game plan:

Rename the park “Magic Mountain”.

Hire tons of people, enough that every shop, stand, restaurant, and every ride with all possible trains can be open at the same time.

Re-establish the troll characters and branding with minimal “updating”, as close to the original designs as possible. Merchandise them like crazy.

Build a long, detailed high capacity dark ride with no height limit themed to the troll characters or a licensed IP (something like the Mine Ride at KBF). Probably around the big hill Ninja is on, with the idea being that you’re inside the mountain.

Build even more flat rides all throughout the park. Make sure that there’s at least one high quality show running at all times.

Repaint pretty much everything, and completely overhaul the aesthetically weak and dated parts of the park. Completely switch up the merch and make it classier, cooler, more timeless.

Overhaul the entire food structure of the park. New high quality restaurants, better options at the existing ones.

After all that’s done, THEN focus on building even more record breaking coasters. Idk how realistic this is, but it’s what I would personally try to do

2 days later... chest still hurts & my shoulder is also a little banged up.

Definitely don't recommend riding X2 until they overhaul it. Viper isn't even this brutal to your body

X2 is possibly shut down. What's unclear is for how long.

I was at the park today, and it wasn't open. I wouldn't be surprised if at least part of the reason is to wait from the publicity from the recent story to subside.

I think it's time for me to ask this question. While I imagine there is a larger answer that goes beyond here; I think it is worth asking regardless.

Assuming Six Flags was to relinquish the rights to DC Comics and Looney Tunes; how quickly would that process be into affect for SFMM? Considering the nature of The Riddlers Revenge, Batman, and Wonder Woman all having prevalent IP presence alongside the DCUniverse Brand; I wonder if the back half of the park would be primarily a construction wall city until they could finish detheming the contents.

Genuinely kind of forgot about Justice League. But yeah I think we're nearing this reality being more likely sooner than later; angeringly so.

If Warner Bros. sells these rights (it's a big if!), it's not going to happen overnight. Six Flags would have plenty of time to retheme, or more likely de-theme (or close) all the offending attractions. We've seen this before, whether it's Terminator becoming Apocalypse or the old Paramount Parks shedding their branded marquees.

Six Flags can also negotiate new contracts with whoever the new owners are. Peanuts is an obvious replacement for any Looney Tunes stuff (and that might be true with or without a sale) but I'd imagine they'd try to hold onto the D.C. stuff unless they can't.

It’s funny cause I’ve learned how to ride X2 over the years, and my muscle memory always kicks into gear to protect me during the rougher parts of the ride.

But a newbie? Get their head into the wrong position and their whole day could be ruined.

The park now has the finances to re track the ride as well as work with S&S to develop new trains. But will they do that? Or will it get Kingda Ka’d in the next few years?
They have the finances? Seriously? They can't even get two or more trains on the coasters they have.

Unfortunately, daily operations budget and investment budgets are two different things, and vary wildly. Also unfortunately, as usual our park is playing catch up maintenance wise.

Don't expect to see much change until 2026, when the focus shifts to the West Coast parks and Mexico.
