I don’t know for sure if the entire facade is changing. To a degree, it’s not necessary. It blends well enough, while standing out well enough, from the rest of Hollywood to be fine. Maybe the sign will be more ornate than T2’s with a helicopter crashing into it, or something.

Point being, of COURSE we’re not seeing or hearing anything on this yet.

Kind of sucks that the purpose built facade for CyberDyne Systems is staying. Would've liked to see them start from the ground up instead of reusing a purpose built theater & e-ticket attraction.

They still have over a year till this show opens, I think a facade change could take two months closer to opening. (If it does happen).

I mean, the facade is fine the way it is, it fits with Hollywood

A simple sign is fine for this particular installment

I bet it's a movie theater marquee.

I’d be completely fine with that. Easy to swap out.

Would this new show be choreographed in a different location and then brought over once construction is done? Or would they choreograph it in the theater itself when construction is done? Only asking because that could factor into the time it takes to construct the theater (renovations or what have you) and the opening of the new show.

usually they do a mock up in a warehouse practice there then move to the venue and practice more. Its kinda like how theme parks build the full ride somewhere else to test it then move it and reasemble it.

Even with the Horror Makeup Show having one right down the street?

Good point, but if there would be any place with 2 movie marquees on one street it would be Hollywood.

More than I should have!

Usually something we forgot to go back and get ( and isn’t listed on the UO website) or that are too big to pack up in a suitcase. T-shirts, mugs, endo’s, stuffed animals. Not necessarily T2, but that’s where most of it has come from. I do have a 1/4 scale Endoskeleton I got from them I may need to find a new home for.

The more I've thought about it, the less thrilled I am for Bourne going in there. Another action packed car chase? I like the movies but for theme park application? Not convinced. Watch Bourne beat the snot out of a guy with a rolled up magazine? Hmmm. Think the FandF attempt has the action ride "covered". JMHO

When this was rumored to be James Bond it was going to be a big production and big-budget. When they changed it to Bourne, their own IP, all of a sudden it scaled back. I hate the idea of getting less of an attraction when Universal owns the IP.

Something like Pacific Rim would be better. More theme parkish. Wizard of Oz theme would be good. MGM may be flexible. The little park in NC did it. And actually the book is in the public domain. Would give Universal Creative a chance to show how "creative" they are without copying a movie.

I don’t think the scale changed at all

2 years to change a show and reuse the same building. This thing better be absolutely incredible.

I mean, USF can create and build a new nighttime lagoon show in less than 6 months- or change out projectors overnight at FJ and not even go down.

So 2 years of closure- nearly the construction timeline of Volcano Bay... if it isn’t anything less than spectacular, then... what took so long?

The more new stuff they bring online the faster they can close Shrek or Fear Factor or KidZone.

I’m sure they could have opened it up by now but I think it’s padding to make sure that new rides open in a timely fashion. F&F and Lagoon Show are opening this year, add a show to that and it’s overkill for one park. Adding this show to next year along with the HP coaster and a potbetial addition to VB makes for a nice balance throughout the resort.

Also keep in mind this project is being run by Entertainment, not Creative.

That is what I remembered reading a while back. I certainly hope I am incorrect.
