Seeeeoooow. It appears that someone has confirmation that the WW will not be decorated for xmas holidays? Where was this confirmed and by who?

From what I've seen, nothing has been confirmed but due to the fact that it wasn't announced with the other holiday events at Universal, people are assuming that it will not be included this year.

Butterbeer = no chocolate. JK Rowling wouldn't approve.

Hmmm... well I have some speculative info for everyone. My Nov/Dec issue of AAA magazine (southern edition) has a section regarding holidays at Universal Orlando. They mention four holiday attractions at the resort and one of them is the WW. They talk about Goblet of Fire and the Yule Ball and also offer the following sentences:

"But now the brisker winter air truly brings Hogsmeade and Hogwarts to life. You can enjoy a warm butterbeer or pumpkin juice as you stroll through the artfully re-created village that is sure to add a touch of magic to your holiday season".

Make of it what you will!

Interesting! I'd at least try warm butterbeer, as it was always what I assumed it would be, based on the books. If they tweaked it just a bit, I'm sure it wouldn't be bad...
On a different note, this weather is absolutely perfect for going to the parks. Wish I had the time this weekend.

That wasn't what I meant. I meant it reminded me of a warm winter drink (I compared it to having hot chocolate in winter). I knew that it didn't have any chocolate in it... I don't think it would be all that good with chocolate anyway...

Well in the books it is served both warm and cold, correct? I seem to remember them drinking it out of bottles, which wouldn't be warm.
I wouldn't be surprised it they have a special warm version of it for December, but I would hope that it would be a different recipe. Maybe with chocolate flavor or something.
All this would have to have been previously approved by JK Rowling anyway.

I've re read the books a few times - they always had to bring it back up to the castle if Harry didn't go, so it would have been probably a little cooler since they had to carry it all the way from the village to the castle. But we're buying it fresh so I think we'd get it warm or cold. There wasn't a cold version in the books to my knowledge... I don't think chocolate and butterbeer go together. Maybe if you ate some chocolate treats while you drank butterbeer.

I find the fascination with Butterbeer really curious. I haven't yet had the opportunity to taste it, but so much has been made of this drink. And, from all accounts it's mostly cream soda. Well, in a little over a month it will be my turn to finally enter Hogsmead. As I don't like cream soda, I am hopeful that my expectations will be low and I won't be disappointed.

Don't worry, I greatly dislike cream soda but LOVE Butterbeer. I also thought I wouldn't like the drink at first. Boy was I wrong

I don't really know what kind of relationship I'm in with Butterbeer. All I can remember is I hated it the moment I tasted it. It has that gross after taste, and I just generally don't like the flavor. But none the less, I will defiantly get some every time I go. I guess I can only enjoy it with small sips... Unless I was just too hot to appreciate anything at the time. I'll be going tomorrow to refill my old steins... (can you get refills with the original Butterbeer steins?) I'm going to get frozen and tap so I'll try once more.

Wow. It's sort of like a rite. Universal has done Harry Potter proud. Well, perhaps there will be a warm variety this winter. I will be visiting in a little more than a month and I will finally know what everyone has been typing about. Can't wait to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey!

From @Jason_Garcia (of the Orlando Sentinel):
Universal says Potter's strength has continued into fourth quarter, as October attendance was up 36 percent

Dang I just got my invite today. Thanks Universal..ah well. Was not likely going to get to go anyway. It just sucks it takes so long to get out to me and I don't live that far away.

That being said, it sounds like it is going to be packed. I wonder what the cap is but I don't think it would be low enough to really take advantage of. At least the poster would be worth going for to get if you were not coming from far.

I just sent them an email asking if they will add another night to it since its obviously not fair for those who like I just received there invite today. This event will be packed and I am curious what they will do because I am sure there are a lot of people who are going to be pretty pissed.
