Also why am I getting the feeling it won't be much of a full size poster? It should be but I have my doubts. I don't know unless it is a really strict cap (which I can't imagine otherwise it would not be business beneficial) how fun can it be? That amount of people limited to just that section of the park for two hours if you stay the entire time. They ought to do a special where your AP discounts are 15 or 20 percent instead of the usual...something with deals rather than just a poster and the chance to PURCHASE a lanyard/pin.

Hopefully people report on the event.

Yeah, I just got mine yesterday as well. Luckily, I signed up when I first heard the news of the event. Think it's a little shady to send out a newsletter inviting people, only to find out that it's already full by the time you get it.

I never got the invite either, but I wouldn't be able to make it anyways...plus I have a feeling it will be crazy packed since all APs will want their poster

Unless something has been announced within the past few days, there are no definite plans to open another park in London. It was brought up and discussed months ago in this thread but as it was then, it is just discussion with no announced plans at this time.

That's completely different from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. That new addition is being called a museum by news outlets and it is only sets. It is essentially a larger version of the Harry Potter Exhibition.

Here are the plans for that new "experience":

While the Harry Potter exhibit is not expected to be a theme park, the exhibition will feature film sets, costumes, make-up and creature designs from the film series

Becuase not only can they make more money with props to see there but also film sets are much different than theme park fabrications. It won't be as a 'complete' experience of living out the adventures the wizarding world has to offer. AS said it will be more like the exhibition that has been around for a while.

I think it's fabulous they're doing that in London, and I wouldn't want the props being brought here anyway. Honestly, there are more British Harry Potter fans than American ones (I know from experience, since I lived there). I think it's good to give them a Harry Potter attraction in London, even if it is film sets and props and not a theme park attraction. There isn't too much room to put them in the Wizarding World anyways. :shrug:

Ok I've come to a conclusion. If they're going to transfrom the Sindbad area into Potter, then the stage MUST be used for performances of A Very Potter Musical. XD

they need to expand it harry potter world is the size of my block, dont get me wrong the details are amazinggg. i wonder if disney still crys on the fact that they passed hp up. I'm don't think Disney really had the opportunity to use Harry Potter, even if Universal didn't use it.. And I don't think expansion is necessary. I'm happy with it's current state. Quality over Quantity.

Disney was originally the one J.K. Rowling was talking with. They were in talks but they didn't want to do the elaborate plan J.K. Rowling had. All they wanted was a wand-point and shoot ride... With a gift shop at the exit of course xD... They didn't realize how much of a money maker it would be, I think...

Basically the original plan was to have a Harry exactly like Buzz Lightyear/Toy Story. They didn't want to bring the world to life, and if I remember correctly, from what was said they wanted to cartoonize it to some extent. It would have been a stand-alone attraction, and not the expansive area we have a UO. Plus Disney wanted FULL creative control and not allow JKR to overrule everything....Boy are they idiots.
