I went yesterday and rode FJ 4 times in an hour single rider then went back at 5 and rode it once in the queue with a 45 minute wait.

just the fact that hp was packed and everything else was slow should make them want to expand quicker. they should add that thing they are doing in london, 2 sick rides and 2 sick shows. That will change the game folks, that would be the biggest thing since lebron came to miami haha

London is not doing any type of show/ride. They are only making a museum-like attraction out of some of the sets and props for the fans. It will not be anything like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and there will not be any "shows" or "attractions"...

I'm thinking that if there was an expansion, it should include a London section with the Leaky Cauldron resturant on the corner (Mythos) and the Ministry of Magic in the distance (Posiedon's Fury). Posiedon's Fury's old building will split a small section for King's Cross and the Hogwarts Express. That section will all be London. Then if you enter through the Leaky Cauldron, you can get into Diagon Alley, which will be set in the Arabian section and extending into the Sinbad stunt show area. Sinbad will be taken over by a Gringott's themed roller coaster. I can't think of what would take over the Mystic Talking Fountain...

That's just my idea of what a full blown expansion might be...

Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to be shown in certain movie theaters:
In the wake of the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, attendance has been up markedly at Universal Orlando. But folks clamoring to take a ride on the signature attraction, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, may have a less-costly and more pragmatic (if not exactly equivalent) alternative to making a pilgrimage to the Florida theme park resort: their local cineplex. Movie theaters outfitted with D-Box seating, a relatively new feature that allows specially equipped seats to rumble and move in sync with a film's projected action, will be showcasing the technology with the November 19th release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Currently available in a handful of theaters around the world, more moviegoers will be able to sample D-Box as it rolls out to additional locations and more Hollywood releases incorporate the motion code technology. Other recent and upcoming D-Box films include Tron Legacy and Jackass 3D. Participating theaters typically outfit one auditorium of their multi-screen cineplexes with a section of about 25 motion seats and tack on around $8 above the cost of a regular ticket for the premium experience.

While not nearly as sophisticated as theme park motion simulator tour-de-forces such as Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey or The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, D-Box-enabled films do bring a taste of the ride film concept to neighborhood movie theaters. And a D-Box showing of a popular movie lasts considerably longer than the typical 4-minute theme park attraction.

This isn't the first time that cineplexes have ventured into the theme park realm. A few years ago, some movie houses added small, dedicated motion simulator theaters to their complexes and showed the same library of short, proprietary features available at many parks. However, I believe that most, if not all, conventional cinemas removed their park-style ride film theaters.

In an earlier blog, I questioned whether the expansion of high-quality 3D films such as Avatar makes the 3D attractions at theme parks less special--or possibly irrelevant. Similarly, might D-Box movies dilute the appeal of motion simulator rides at parks? I dunno. I'm planning to check out the Potter film at a nearby theater that recently added the D-Box option, and I'll report on my experience.

I am guessing it will be Dbox motion set to some clips from the attraction. Just a promo with motion jolts essentally...

I would hate to think they would of mounted a camera to a ride vehicle kind of pov and spoil that much.

I must be immature, I still laugh because every time I think of Dbox I just think of Dbag.

Guess what. Teebin finally visited the WW for the first time today. Bad news is that my timing could not have been worse. I might has well have visited on opening day short of the weather being so nice and temperate. The place was packed and just getting from Hogsmeade to Hogwarts was a nightmare. There is a huge bottleneck in the area of the Magic Neep. There were even long queues for every shop thus I did not partake (although I was forced through Filche's... just shoot me).

Much of what impressed me were details and effects never mentioned on here before. Much of what left me somewhat cold were the details and effects most often lauded on here.

What most shocked me was turning the corner from LC and walking through the arch and seeing it in 3D. This might sound like an odd thing to say, but the 3D effect of seeing the chimneys relative to Hogwarts in the distance. It blew me away.

What surprised me totally was that the Patio of Three Brooms was totally in deep shade, the concrete mounted umbrellas are that closely arranged and they are big suckers. The restaurant was packed and had a 200 foot queue outside.

Cool news is that the smoke stack on the train engine has been cleaned of lime drips from the steam since the last time that I saw it in pictures.

There were so many black robed tourists (bringing their own robes) in the park and entering from Citywalk that one would have thought there was a Goth convention in town. Kooky.

I will post my thoughts regarding FJ in spoilers.

It won't be 'till this time next year when crowds start dying down. But I'm glad you finally got to experience the land!

HAHAHA! I knew the moment I posted that, I KNEW someone was going to post a link the recipe! I have tried this recipe atleast 7 times... I just don't see it! I think it's because I always over whip the cream, (because I use a stand mixer) and it becomes like cool whip texture... that and I'm not conviced the base is very identical.

I just got off the phone with Universal, and they explained to me that they plan on holding another Annual Passholder event December 16th for Harry Potter, after hours.

Well it is delicious and satisfying none the less, but I am longing to gulp down another glass whilst sitting in the freezing cold Hog's Head. I always feel so bad for the people who wait in the mile long line, while I walk right into the pub and get a glass.

Did they mention the reason for this? Was it due to complaints of the other event hitting capacity so quickly?

If this is because of complaints about the other one, I don't think it'll help the situation if it's handled the same way. Hopefully they work something out differently, otherwise the people who don't get to go this time will start complaining, especially if they got to go to neither. I can't really see how you'd handle it in a way that people wouldn't complain about, though.
