Put it this way, I NEVER, literally NEVER will wait in a line past 30 minutes...I went in the line for FJ with a posted 45 min wait, and it wasn't even close to that.

I have yet to ride Toy Story Mania for that same reason, its always posted at 70-90 minutes and I won't step foot in there unless its 30.

for some reason everytime I got to IOA, the line for Dudly Dooright is completely crazy. The last three times ive been there I didnt go on it because the wait was over an hour. Which sucks, because I really like that ride too.

Same thing in my case, I've ridden it only a couple of times, too long of a line.

Okay, so I am leaving Saturday for Universal for my very first time. What do you wear in November? Is it still kinda warm?

Right now the high's in the low 80's but I'd check online for the forecast.

Clothes, if you go to the park without them, they will kick you out :pound:

Just keep an eye on www.weather.com and check the 10 day forecast for it. I was up there 2 weeks ago and at night it was in the 50s and in the day 60s.

weather should be perfect. mid 70s during the day, mid 60s at night..and no rain (knock on wood)..its precisly the reason I refuse to go in the summer time. It gets really hot and sticky waiting in line in 95 degree heat. Have fun..will be my first time at Potter, but Ive been to IOA several times. The last was right when The Simpsons opened.

--- Update ---

my other tip..is to bring a change of socks and shirt. The water rides can soak you, and youll want to change if you get really wet.

I wen't on the Castle tours today, and the Hall of Portraits is WAY better! A good thing about the castle tours is that not that many people no about them so its just you alone in the Portrait Hall, you get a front row view of Dumbledore, and you can stay for as long as you want. The only thing you miss is the dungeon and Tracery Hall. After your done do single riders and you just saved 75 min of your time! When your in the dungeon just ask the attendent if you can take a castle tour, sometimes they'll even have guides lead you and tell you about the castle and teachers, which I thought was pretty cool.

Ahhh... that s'plains things. They are pushing the tours on purpose. Smart move in hindsight. How do they make sure you do not ride?

I think it's a separate line or something the way he described it... Is that right? And it sounds really cool, and it's a nice detail that they sometimes send a tour guide with you...

No, they are stopping people and asking them if they are there to ride or just tour. I didn't understand the concept last Friday but now it makes sense.

Actually nobody stopped to me to if I wanted to do the tour, I asked the attendent, however they probably were telling that to people because before I went there was a huge group. As far as not riding, I turned back around at the the defense against the dark arts classroom, so I don't know.

Ahhhhhh... But if you were able to stop in the rooms, unless it was in a separate line, wouldn't it hold up the line? Or are they using the single riders line for it? Oh, and I know the tours were for people who couldn't ride when we didn't have modified seating...

When I went last Friday, it appears they are stopping likely candidates such as people with very small children. It all makes sense because it cuts down on the regular queue.

RE drkmc: Could someone going in the next few days please take the "tour" and see what they do with you at the end of the queue before the final ride queue?

Definitely... I may just have to take one of these after my first ride on FJ, sounds like it's a nice relaxed walkthrough type of attraction within an attraction...

They're using the Express line.

Ahh, then it'll stop once that's open  ... Well at least I know the Express doesn't skip much - my Mom refuses to visit the parks without express pass...

Does the express line go through the DADA and the Common room?
