Took the studio tour today. Looks like demolition has resumed on the old Soundstage 29 & 31 complex in the wake of Hairspray, Live!

That should be building 3213. Demolition on 29 and 31 proper should begin later.

Edit: I'm wrong - it's only 3213 and 31 that will be demolished soon. 29 will presumably go in the future soon after.

I swear, USH needs to stop pushing me to visit again. First Hot Butterbeer, then removing 3D from FJ and now this... I'm already reeling from five vacations this year, stop it!

So Screamscape just stated a possibility of an announcement "coming from left field" if the stars align. Meaning it'd be something not already speculated (Nintendo, SLoP, Diagon).  Any thoughts or ideas?  That's news to me.

With the new park president coming in, I think there's the potential for some substantial change. Whether or not those become attractions, I'm not sure, but I know they're inching to try different things.

New Studio Directories, presumably screen-based (shocker!) are being installed. Presumably this will lead to the demo of the directory and planter outside the former Cartooniversal spot.

This is long needed as the current directories are dated and need constant updating with their signage. Orlando has been moving to LCD screens (much to Jon's chargin haha) and while we're not sure what screens are being used since they haven't been installed yet, most likely it'll be something similar. Smart and long-needed upgrade IMO.

Decorative rod iron isn't the first thing I think of when I think of Theme Park directory, but hey, whatever works I guess.

Finally! I was wondering if that damn thing would ever leave for an upgrade. Love it. Can't wait to see those beautiful IP names on an LED screen for HHN next year!

A new record has been set for daily attendance with nearly 45,000 guests going to Universal yesterday. I'm guessing many have been saving up their one-day tickets for the holiday season instead of purchasing a new pass.

Was there yesterday, HP:FJ ride hit up to 180 minutes wait the shortest was 60 minutes. Everything was at least 50 minutes at one point.

A lot of people were wearing Rose Parade patches, not sure how much that contributed to how packed the park was.

Has Universal ever sold out before?  I'm curious as to what is the maximum amount of people allowed in to the park before they are considered "sold out".

The max cap has gone up in recent years. For example, four years ago 45K would've been well beyond capacity. Fascinating that Potter truly had an astounding effect but it very much followed along with a standard metropolitan mindset of being seasonal. They need to expand fast to attract more tourists in the off-season and help out when the crowds come crashing down for the holidays.

Yes, was about to post this! Here's an image from @SoCal360 on Twitter!

I really like it! It looks super professional and clean. Can't wait to see more of these go up around the park!

I have a couple of friends that are visiting Potter for their first time ever today. They just so happened to attend the one day that hasn't happened since Supercharged opened with the park filling up to capacity. All they had to do was wait one week.

I checked Disney and the waits are fairly manageable. two hours for ToT and RSR, an hour for Indy, 25 for Pirates, and 30 for Matterhorn.

Ouch! Sucks going to any park on a day like this! These insane crowds are great for us theme park fans! But must be awful for anyone going to the park. They spend hundreds of dollars for their family to have a fun day, only to wait in 2 hour+ lines.
