This one's actually getting good reviews. 88% on RT and 69 on Metacritic. I didn't have much interest in seeing it, but if this holds I may have to carve out some time to see it soon.

Its funny because we say this every time for the past 3 years

But I'm hopeful it can be good because the main characters are a little more interesting then many of the heros

Very excited to see US agents arc and hoping the Red guardian has some solid one liners

I really enjoyed it! Way better than Cap earlier this year.

My biggest takeaway…?

Yelena wanted to be a goalie so she could help her entire soccer team out when they make a mistake.

Proceeded to lead them to a winless season letting all of them down.

Thunderbolts is a good film, I think some things kinda hold it back from greatness but that being said better then Cap

Red Guardian was my favorite, he's just a fun supporting character. Yelena gets some good character development. Ghost is there. John Walker, I will be interested to see what people think of him...the internet have really gotten on his side in comments of videos I see, so interested to see how the internet reacts to him but I liked what they did with the character. Taskmaster is also there

I think if this film came out at the end of last phase it would have set up some cool ideas but...yeah the MCU wasted its time the last two phases and now we rush into the finale phase. But I would say go see it if you like the MCU, I think it was a good time and would watch again
Taskaster is dead....so thank god we can get the real one now. Also if they just made the Taskmaster into the Red Widow I think people would have liked her but they for some reason made her taskmaster....so yeah. Anyway I hope we get the real Taskmaster now and they can team up with Zemo and give us a good "winter solider" villains for one of the next phases

So this movie...... It was good, funny, I like it but, it felt like an episode of a show. That's the mistake marvel has made, by connecting all their shows and movies together, now one of their movies ( thunderbolts) just feels like an unfinished TV show.
I wanted more from them, from this team, more episodes of a show, more story. ( Movie just feels incomplete. Theres a whole third act missing it. Felt like it)

Red guardian and yelena were awesome and charming. I like yelena much more than Scarlett.
Yelena is to me more interesting. Has more heart, more vulnerable. I love her. Red guardian was a joy to watch. Very funny.
Yelena and red guardian deserve their own show.......

I absolutely loved this movie. So good. I went in mostly spoiler free and that ending/post credits scenes blew me away. I was very excited for this film and despite some issues (I feel like the movie could've been longer, some things felt rushed) it lived up to my expectations. I'm so ecstatic that it's a success so far.

I enjoyed Thunderbolts, but everything does feel rushed at this point especially since Cap America felt like it went backwards storywise

I think the first hour of this is almost outright terrible.

But the second half is one of the best second halves in the MCU.

That's why I said that this feels like an unfinished TV show, because the first hour could be a really good pilot episode that leads into 7 movie episodes or something,
But as a movie is an awful introduction to this team up.
And the movie is missing a strong third act. Which would have been perfect for a 2 episode ending for a show.

I agree about the first hour feeling like a TV pilot.

But I loved the third act.

It's not that I don't like the third act because I do. I really liked these characters a lot. I love yelena so much.
But the ending feels too rushed, and not enough. Feels condensed. Compressed

I was looking forward to this, but it felt very meh. Not a bad movie. I just was expecting more. Not sure what though. I think the "throwaway tv episode" comparison isn't that far off. Might just be comic book film burnout, idk.

I also really enjoyed this but agree on the sudden ending. Took my mother to see this and she leaned over and whispered "Thats it?".

This could have benefited from way more action as well. Honestly my only gripes with this movie.

Without going to spoilers, it took them like 1 hour to get together and then the big threat comes and then it's like, over?

The big threat was never about the Void. It was themselves and overcoming their own adversities/demons.

Yes that's true and a valid point, the end still feels rushed to me. Almost wish the bad guy was someone else from the past. Not the new guy. I wish it had been a "demon" coming back to haunt them because of their past mistakes, Coming full circle. I didn't like the void that much. That part was super rushed ( someone compared it to the Boys and homelander)

Ironically Captain America brave new world did what this movie needed, this movie needed that kind of villain from the past.

I freaking loved this movie.

It brought back the levity and fun that Marvel used to have!

And bringing threads together from the D+ shows that no one watched. Hopefully things are back on track. That FF end credits scene almost made me pee my pants! :lmao::cheers::lmao::cheers:

Taco shield for the win!
