Overall, I've found the food at Orlando's Toothsome to be very good during the times I've visited. Me and my family went to Hollywood's version within the first month of opening, and found it to be a notable downgrade in food quality compared to the Florida location. I've heard it got much worse in the months that followed, so I haven't bothered going there again for anything other than shakes.

Even opening month I was never impressed with the toothsome here. Food was mediocre, overpriced, and portions were way too small. Haven’t been back since that first visit and unfortunately it’s getting worse.

Is toothsome at Orlando really any good or is it that the travelers/hotel guests have no other choice? I think another problem USH has like DLR is that it’s a locals park and people will simply get food before they head over or when they leave the park. Which is why you always see CityWalk and Downtown Disney restaurants struggling.

I've never really cared for the food. Some items are really good. But most of it is very blah. We usually go once a trip just because we enjoy their drinks and desserts.

When I dined there in 2021, at least the stuff that I and my party had was all very good.

I wish I could say I’m surprised, but I’m not. When I first went when it opened, mad busy; been twice since, on busy park days, and it’s been dead with no wait. Every time I go to the park and walk past it, regardless of day or time, dead. Went to the park on Sunday the 8th, when the park was so wall to wall packed in the evening that we left after an hour and change, and even then, I swear more people were in line for Voodoo or Panda Express than were eating at Toothsome.

Saw someone on Twitter say they're only out after 4 p.m. on weekends.

At this point they might as well eat their losses and shut it down.

Put something else there if its going to be the equivalent of a Temu version of the FL location

Ate at the one in Hollywood last year, the food was good and didn't have any issues. I guess we went on a good day? LOL

Maybe this proves they need to start developing more unique concepts for USH City Walk instead of copying and pasting stuff from the Orlando parks.

What works there may not translate well because of the demographics visiting those areas.

Having good customer service as well as food is the most important thing though.

Universal Monsters Cafe or Alucard's Das Stakehaus would be an okay replacement..

Keep the steampunk theme, but redo it a bit for Dr Victoria Frankenstein's Laboratory of Culinary Experiments

I'll never NOT push for more Universal Monsters presence at USH

I think a Monster Restaurant would be perfect since we don't have room in the park....I just don't know how willing Universal is to bring IP's out of USH but would be something I think where you could draw people and have a little show for the mosnters year round

I don't think the restaurant's theme is the issue here...

The lines for Toothsome were out the door when it opened. It was nigh impossible to get a reservation for a while. Word got around that the food wasn't good enough to justify the trouble or price.
