Eh, it's the teaser. None of this footage will be in the actual film, just like with 3 and 4. They just animated him back in Bonnie's room because that's the easiest thing they could do to include him.
I have to wonder how exactly they are going to square the circle of Woody's Lost Toy resolution. It has to be something like Bonnie going on another road-trip and the toys finding their way back to Woody and Bo, just as the Ipad villain is at their worst. But ... does that mean we'll not have Woody for a portion of the film? The writers struggled to give Buzz his only totally non-"Confused Buzz" plotline in TS4, can he support the movie solo for that long?
Or if it's gonna be another Woody movie, are we just not going to have the ensemble around for awhile? Or the traditional bedroom, blue skies and white clouds-type motifs? Genuinely curious what this film will even look like.
They proved that they had more to tell with TS4. But I continue to struggle on how any of this will work. Over the past year or two however, my love for the Toy Story series has grown exponentially, so I'm certainly not rooting for a failure at this point. I guess we'll have to see.
