how do we know the haunted house runmor is fake? What if its' a haunted house ride?

That wasn't the rumor, though. The rumor was "not a ride, and something based around a seasonal event, but made permanent".

Again, they are fast-tracking this thing like never before. If they want this open next year, it will more than likely have to be something where the design work is already finished. They won't have time to tinker with it for months and months like they do with completely new rides. Even if it's the same ride system with a different theme it will be cutting it close, not leaving time to program the show or even produce the show aspects. It makes the most sense to "copy and paste" an attraction.

So what fits the above description? What ride is already designed and been operating for 6 months to work out the kinks? What ride is two floors? What ride uses "Ride lift pits?" Also the fact that they need clarification on the type of runoff from the lifts suggests that it's not a typical elevator setup. What fits this description? Heck, we've even taken measurements and confirmed a certain major attraction will fit. It all points to one thing...

That's an interesting pattern you've pointed out there Skip. It could well be what's happening; the only thing I question is how easily Lance would get thrown off by a fake trail. Did he buy the haunt rumour? I can't remember.

So...let's look at the pattern, shall we? Speculation heavily points to TF, then is turned away by a fake rumor. After said fake rumor, Ride Lift pits and insiders point to TF, then Screamscape comes out and says "Nope, no way it's TF." a mere week after saying "The only rumors I'm hearing are Transformers."

We know there is a disinformation trail out there. And it really seems like Lance got wind from someone inside Uni to stop hyping up TF. I could just be looking for something that isn't there, but the pattern fits.

It's definitely not you looking to much into it. Something is up. Now whether its misinformation, or simply him being told to cover his tracks, we'll never know.

No he didn't. But I don't know if he's fallen for a fake trail...or been told to back off the TF rumors. Because literally a week ago he had a headline that read "Transformers just makes sense".

With Lance and Screamscape's reputation across the industry I don't think he would go dead set against the thing that everything points to unless he is dead sure because his rep could be harmed severely and the trustworthiness of his website would be called into question with future rumors and what not. I have always followed Screamscape since I first visited and he is nearly always right way in advance and his sources are excellent so this news is a bit of a game changer for the status of SS44. Time will tell.

Listen, again, no offense to Lance, and I understand the nature of his site...

But since when is the guy "nearly always right"? The site has always been, and always will be "throw everything against the wall and see what sticks" in nature. He's been wrong much more than he's been right, and let's not forget he's on all the park's media lists. And the parks know how to play the game when it comes to compensating people when they feel the need.

Now, I'm not saying he's 100% wrong here...but it's INCREDIBLY fishy.

It is indeed very fishy as all signs do point to Transformers but it's just the fact he is dead set against Transformers that makes it slightly more challenging to go with the general feeling, in my opinion anyway. He could be very wrong.

Using that logic it would make it even more likely it would not be Transformers. And wanting it open by the end of this year would be implying that it is going to for sure be a ride or attraction of that caliber are two different things. We don't know either for sure.

If it is indeed Transformers. I would not expect it to be open by next year. Even with a cloned attraction, that is not likely going to happen.

If it is indeed Transformers. I would not expect it to be open by next year. Even with a cloned attraction, that is not likely going to happen.

They're timeline calls for it to be open next year. Timelines can change. But a proven construction method, ride system, programming, etc can definitely allow them to get it open by Fall/Winter 2014.

They were calling for early winter 2013, right? I mean, we may very well see vertical construction by that time this year. In fact, I'd bet even sooner. So a year, to spend a lot of money and build a cloned attraction as fast as possible? It could be done. But setbacks are likely.
