Yeah this film was quite enjoyable. The acting and characterizations were an improvement and the plot was more involving than in the simplistic original.

I will say that the action was superior in the 1996 movie though. Jan de Bont was a master at framing and staging kinetic movement. He also utilized practical set pieces with the CGI to really amp up the excitement. The sequel was probably a little too reliant on the visual effects. Having said that, the tornado sequences in this one were still well done. The climax in particular being very involving.

Overall it was a good time at the cinema and a worthy sequel/remake/reboot.

Please let this lead to Twister(s) coming back to USF...

While this would be nice, the most likely scenario at Twister's level of popularity would probably be changing the 30 Rock building into the NOAA office in New York, where you'll be the first group to test Storm Park's exciting new climate...simulator. Something goes wrong, Tornado in New York, you see where I'm going with this.

Either that, or they try and fit it into the F&F building, which would actually give them an opportunity to do some dimensional sets. But then you'd have to someone move guests from San Francisco to Oklahoma?
