I've been screaming since this was announced. My coworkers think I'm insane.

Have you been to Area 51??? None of the attractions have casinos or slots. it is not that place. Also, I doubt you'd see any scaractor outside of the attraction. Bar, very possible as well as food offerings but yea, none of that other stuff.

It's literally a playground of the mind and not the typical "Vegas" thing with slots, tables, and cigarette smoke

An HHN experience will fit perfect there

People are speculating multiple mazes and such, like HHN (which would be great!) but I expect in reality it will be 75% bars and merch, a single really good maze, and the whole environment will be one giant scare zone but all spread out, essentially wandering scare actors. I’m sure the bars and merch are where the bean counters were focusing when they greenlit this thing.

i’d be surprised if we see more than 2 mazes, and even surprised if we see 2. The announcement doesn’t read as “HNN but in Vegas.” It reads as “Vegas thing, with HHN flavor.” To me, anyway.

EDIT: oh, and a casino. Lots of slots and stuff to increase revenue.

Area 15 was already so great, bringing in the big guns now!

Spec time:
Two Mazes, Small HHN restaurant with full service bar and a food ordering to go window, merch store (obviously), and I wanna say some sort of scarezone/photo op thing.

I’m gonna bet houses will change and rotate from a pool of IPS and Originals. Looks like the Icons are gonna play a part which is so nice to see.

Classic Monsters obviously will be featured day one.

I wonder why they dumped all this news today? I'm kind of surprised that they didn't wait to announce Port Aventura as well...

Could see a large "house of horrors" style maze with redundant rooms/forks designed in the layout so they can swap in rooms based on whatever they want to promote.

E.g. There's a fork in the middle with two rooms that both continue the maze. One year they want to promote Us, so they open the room themed to Us and close the other one. Two years later they want to promote Nope so they theme the other room to Nope and open it while closing the Us one. Meanwhile they theme the Us room to M3gan or whatever they want for next year. That way they can keep rotating in fresh content and promoting their slate without having to close the attraction.

One other thing: I think there's a decent chance they do a small Monkeypaw house. Jordan Peele wants theme park presence, and it'll be a draw. It'd also be really, really cool.

as someone who loves going to vegas(my tattoo person is there) but hates going to casinos and bars, this brings me so much joy! the way area15 keeps expanding has been so interesting to watch over the past year or so. this feels like a perfect fit!

Area 15 is definitely a break from the casinos...it does have a bar, but not the kind you're probably referring to

yeah i frequent area15 often and it's definitely not the same kind of bar as your standard vegas bar or nightclub! lol

I can see this being like Netherworld in Atlanta, having 2 haunts and an immersive lobby area and bar/food. Seems like it will be the focal point of an expansion so I wouldn't be shocked if we see it this year!.

I’m gonna say they definitely are trying to push for this year if it’s been announced this early in 2023.

We’ll know if I’m right in the next month or so as we stalk the construction site.

They're not going to build an entirely new, themed space in one year. We're probably looking at mid-2024 at the very earliest.

They’ve done crazier things, we have no idea how long this has been in the works. But we can get a rough idea if we look back at this time last year, this rumor kinda formulated and came out of nowhere. So maybe it’s farther along then we think.

Especially since I think it’s likely that these houses may not be 100% brand new from the ground up if you catch my drift.

But like I had already said, let’s wait and see. The next few months will either keep this theory afloat or sink it.

Most buildings at Area 15 are simple warehouses that can go up in the matter of time. it's what in them that matter lol.
