Back in 2015, the exact night that Nintendo and Universal announced their partnership, I made a promise to myself that I'd be going Day 1 to whatever Nintendo attraction was built here in Orlando. I've remembered and planned on keeping true to that promise for the past 10 years.

But, I will not be there tomorrow. Back in October, I was only able to get tickets for Day 2. Had that remained my only access to the park, I'd probably currently be huddling in a little tent outside the parking lot as I type this. I'm not doing that either.

I kept my promise! I overdelivered! I was able to join with a TM family member back in March, which was an incredible experience. I was able to do all of the Nintendo attractions, including Mario Kart twice due to some technical issue shenanigans. 2015 GA-MBIT is already more than satisfied. ‌: )

I've still got my tickets for Friday, May 23rd, but I'm gonna try to call Guest Relations tomorrow and see if I can get it pushed back honestly. Not feeling super interested in trudging through those kinds of crowds, and I want the best shot possible at experiencing the last big things I missed last time (Ministry, the shows, Toad's Cafe), and that probably won't be the possible anytime this week haha.

Best of luck to whoever is going tomorrow! Happy Opening!!

I got up for work at 3:00, and have been completely sucked into all the coverage of last night. I've cried four times already watching the Mark Woodbury video and the Epic trailer. In my lifetime I never imagined I'd be able to watch a park built from the ground up and have it (practically) in my back yard. This was amazing to watch and thanks to Bio and @Alicia I got to see how it all happened in ways I never could have dreamed of. The last 5 years since the pandemic have been a blur, and watching Epic being built has been a huge and amazing part of that.

I was fortunate enough to attend 5 preview days and I still can't wait to go back again...
