I think they were rumors on the forum a while back that WaterWorld was at one point n consideration for one of the expansion pads at EU. But I personally think they have better choices for when they decide on IP for those expansion pads.

I believe current rumors have that expansion pad now being set for a Luigi's Mansion mini-land.

And anyone with better knowledge correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the last time Waterworld was brought up as a rumor, it was that Toon Lagoon Theater was being eyed as a potential location for it sometime in the distant future.

Waterworld would make a lot of sense in Islands of Adventure, which desperately needs a quality show. It even lines up with the park theme, and there's theoretically space for it. But... I haven't heard even a whisper suggesting it's coming.

Saw the Pre show

I think it was great....my only issue is they then do the normal WW pre show and makes it like 35ish mins for everything

As a local at least, rather them just ignore spraying people part if they do a pre show but thats just me

The Pre show by it self is very well done for its short run time but your never bored and uses the area pretty well

If I’m not mistaken, they do the normal water spraying preshow stuff cause they need time to reset the stage for WaterWorld. So while it’s annoying it’s a necessity.

Also the normal pre-show is necessary for guests who aren't locals, which is A LOT. So therefore, they need to be made aware that they will not be leaving the show "dry".

As a local & knowing a few of the cast, it's always a gamble sitting in a green seat. I'd look away *bucket* look away again *bucket* oh the wetness

It's also a warmup act, right? Like @Wesker69 said, it's a combination of giving fair warning that you may get Shamu'd and getting the crowd hyped up.

It also gets you to care about the atollers -- they're your friends and comrades, and they're happy to goof around with you. It makes the deaths in the actual show hit harder.

I disagree with the pre show being needed

It’s cute but when the show time is 5:30 and doesn’t start until almost 20 mins later just feels like a lot

Like I said the new pre show rocks, the other one is fine.

My least favorite part of universal in general is the pre shows at least at USH not one of them really lives up to what a pre show can be like say HM elevator

Most are there to fill time, as pointed out above the pre show is to finish setting things up

I totally see your point in this case. You're going from the high octane thrills of the Fall Guy "pre-show" to... a significantly less exciting pre-show, or at least one that has deliberately slower pacing. It's jarring and takes up a lot of time. For better or worse, it's temporary, at least.

If guests are there from open-close, they'll appreciate the extra 20mins of sitting rather than being in a line.

*BUMP* okay I had to laugh at the above comment about the 5:30 showtime & the "delay" due to a 20min pre-show. I was reminded the other day of when I worked at Regal Cinemas, a lady complained because the movie started "late" due to the 15-20min of trailers

In other news, here's some Waterworld p0rn

If this isn't the right thread to bring this up, I apologize. I just wanted to bring this up anyway.

I was gonna pull up a video, but I can't find it. I think around the early 90's, back when it was the Miami Vice show, they used to have a night show called SpectroBlast. It had fountains and lasers. USF just recently had an outdoor night show and from what little I saw of it, the show looked cool!

Is it doable to have something like that again in WaterWorld? I know it would take a lot of prep and work, but it would be cool to see this as USH's Fantasmic.
