I think this will be HUGE on streaming and mean the sequel is bigger than the first when it opens.

I’m 1 person but seen it twice in theatres and will purchase here at home in coming days.

Same! But I think on streaming it gets a bigger audience— if it’s “free” with your streaming service you’ll watch things you wouldn’t normally go to a theater to see. People who’ve didn’t know the story or didn’t want to buy a ticket to see it in a theater will give it a chance and probably enjoy it.

I know of several people (mostly mom’s of little girls) who are very anti-Ariana Grande who wouldn’t buy tickets to see it because of her, but they (and more likely their kids) will watch it streaming and probably be impressed/change their minds about it before the sequel drops.

Peacock about to have a major month then in January/February. New season of the Traitors, one of their most popular originals. Exclusive NFL playoff game, SNL 50 show, I have to think Poker Face season 2 is soon as well, Universal must be loving this now. I assume extended cut will make it to Peacock as well to entice people.

A close friend I’m seeing on New Years I’m gonna see if he wants to watch it. He goes to theatres once or twice a summer then never goes. Curious how it airs in a non theatre setting.

Finally saw this yesterday, with my wife who didn't know the title referred to the Wicked Witch of the West until I told her a couple weeks ago.

Woke up this morning to her boppin' along to "Popular." Take your W, Wicked stans.

I knew little about this story before watching the film back in December, but ever since then, I’ve been obsessed! I am dying to see this IP come to the parks as a full-fledged land.

Every film but Emilia Pérez deserves to be on here the director admitting to doing ZERO research and with the subject matter I don't respect a film for just making things up based on feelings

I think 3-5. Best Score feels like a given and Wicked should be a favorite for all the production awards.

Ariana may get Supporting. Cynthia will likely win hers for “For Good.”

Cynthia will win next year I bet. It’s early, but she will do a lot of heavy lifting in For Good. It’d be fun to see an actress win back to back years for playing the same character though. Has that ever happened?

Cynthia is also the 2nd black woman to be nominated for Lead Actress 2 times, other being Viola Davis.

On one hand I'm PO'd Emilia Perez got nominated over Wild Robot.

On the other hand, after learning more about it, I now want it to win the whole thing just because of how funny it would be.

The big uncertainty with Wicked is what comes out next year against For Good, and if it is as well received as part one. The Oscars will often reward for cumulative work as much as the particular film, so assuming For Good is as good as part one, we could see it sweep several categories rewarding it for both films.
