You may well be correct that Pancras won't be present because of the books! Were you told by someone in the know that the pieces in your photographs are for 'the station(s)'? The pieces look very much like the forest station Order of the Phoenix. (I love the end of that film; makes me weepy)

Well no, no one told me they are for King's Cross, but they look so very similar and they have a lot of them that it makes me think that it is for a rather large building. But they could be for the forest station. AND they are starting work on that structure very soon. Could you find a sceen cap of the Forest Station?

I'm working on finding one. The station was never prominently featured save for Philosophers Stone. UC/WB may have just designed something new for the park.

^ While I cannot find pictures of the forest station, I can tell you it looks very much like the WW hogsmeade station (lockers). I did find this poor video of the scene... the station barely discernible but you can see pieces in the closeups and it reeks of what we all know here in Florida. 03:07

Not alleged... that is it under construction. They even laid tracks on that road and hauled the train out there.

I'm pretty sure Dave got pics of Kings Cross unless they've created an entirely new Hogsmeade Station (which I'm not ruling out.) The film stations might has well have not existed.

yep, that is the DC side of the building in style. Remember, we have a looooong walkway that will most likely be covered and themed. Oh well, the pictures are great... fun to see them knocking stuff out already.

The one thing I think we can agree on is this stuff is without a doubt for Potter 2.0.

so it begins. I also think this must be part of the London facade, despite Teebin's eye for detail. It doesn't have to look exact in order for it to look realistic. The landmarks in Epcot are missing a lot of details, but most people don't really notice the difference. as long as you believe in the illusion of the landmark it stil works.

Mm, but I would expect UNI to put some more effort into it than you would assume. Atleast I would hope they would

I don't think we should prejudge the stylistic changes. This structure is going to be one of the visual icons for the new WWoHP and I think it is going to be amazing with it arched glass roof and epic facade. It is the closest thing to Hogwarts this side of the park.

Let us not get carried away using the name King's Cross when looking at the current work at Nassal. The building is butt ugly and has absolutely no gothic styling.

Yes, but we all know King's Cross isn't really King's Cross in the books/movies.

Kings Cross = St. Pancras in the movie world. It's across the street from that building and was featured in the film because A) it was prettier and B) has Platforms 9 and 10 C) was the station JKR really meant in the books but made a mistake.

I think we are getting a literary/movie mash-up. St. Pancras facade and King's Cross glass roof over the load platform. And will be refered to simply as King's Cross Station.

we know! Neither is GOTHIC. The windows that DH posted are gothic.

THAT SAID. What in hell happened to the DOME pictures thread? Someone somewhere must have screamed loudly for it to have been taken down so fast?
