So, what an interesting day it has been on this website. Info is flying behind the scenes like electricity. The heads I have had to turn as a result has been as draconian as the methods that forced me to do it.

That said, a seagull flew over me today and pooped a bunch of vector pdfs (cad style files that have odd 3D files too) and some colorful poop (color elevations) right on my head. I used Bounty towels to wipe it off... but I did keep the towels and the "dirt". Just trying to figure out what to do with it and how to legally post it online.

There have been a few folks on here talking about taking a chopper ride and snapping some aerial pics of the area. If it's happened yet, the pics haven't been posted. I remember when Disneyhead and one or two others on here (BriMan? Hatetofly?) did that with the original WWoHP back in 2010...it was pretty cool what they were able to reveal. Hopefully someone will get around to doing it later on this year when the facades start going up and we can't see anything from inside the park.

Maybe we should all through in and get a photo drone that circles the park and gives us fresh aerial photos every day :idea2: :pound:

Well before that happens it would be great if someone gets some chopper pics

I believe it was stated if and when a chopper update is coming we won't know until after the chopper update is posted. So be patient and it may come.

Has it been discussed, or does anyone have any idea, what this square portion to the left of the arch will look like when all is said and done? It doesn't seem to match the design of the real-life Kings Cross, unless they are playing with the proportions.

Could this be the originally rumored St. Pancras facade? (Although, I don't know how they would pull off a hybrid of the two, with their drastically different architectures.)

And what will they do to obscure the view of that second iteration of the KC arches (Platform 9 3/4)?

I think I remember reading somewhere that some queues would take place over two levels? I'm sure whatever theming happens it will obscure/hide Platform 9 3/4. Maybe a photo opp? I'd suggest the flying car but that was already placed at DC challenge. The Harry Potter studio tour here in the UK has the Knight Bus which is pretty awesome. It would be cool to see that here......

I believe the rectangle section to the left of the arch will be the rectangle section on the left (with the 3 windows across the top front) of the real King's Cross Station.

And I am hoping they use the St. Pancras facade to hide the arched section in the back.

You're probably right. I was just wondering as the roof line appears a bit higher in relation to the arch than it is on the real station. But proportions, smorsmortions.

That would be great, too, especially if you could walk right up to the facade, but still have it off the main guest pathway. Kind of a bonus for those who like to explore every nook and cranny, like the alleys in Hogsmeade and the area under the bridge of the Hogwarts facade.

Wooh hoooh! I am back in Orlando! I will be at IOA and US tomorrow and the next few days taking pictures. I cannot wait to see Spider-man in HD and the new Mummy projectors. I will talk about the docs as soon as I am given permission. I tried to see the TF decal building when I flew in... but I couldn't find it.
