The cart would take away from the ride's effects.

Maybe they could have a sweet trolley static prop sitting somewhere on the train. That way it would still be there and give the feeling of having it, without getting in the way.

They could have carts before you get in line. Just buy your beans and frogs before you get on, just watch out for ear wax flavour.

I wouldn't think they'd want you eating on the train....that would get messy quickly especially with all the little kiddies. I don't think Disney allows food or drink on the monorail.

Any elaboration, if I may ask, on what kind of restraint system (if any) there will be on the train? My friends and I are kind of dorks and like to dress up for WWoHP and are totally geeked about the idea about taking the train from London to Hogsmeade and putting on our robes before we "arrive at school". Yeah, lame I know, but when we first found out about the Hogwarts express we got really excited about this concept.

Not sure of the restraints and or restrictions. Just an FYI though, your actually going to sit in your own cabins just like in the films

Thanks for the pics Brer. I don't understand the changes in the films. In the earlier film, the wall outside of the great hall was flat and covered with notices that came crashing down onto Delores. In the final films, the walls are curved and covered with medieval armor. What gives with such changes?

MAGIC!
Really, though, I agree that the continuity, especially in the look of Hogwarts, is a bit annoying. That's why the books are my #1

The proclamations were only supposed to be in OotP. Also, it's canon that Hogwarts is always changing and evolving (Rowena Ravenclaw's handiwork.) the film makers used that to their advantage multiple times.

One of the main reasons why that happened is because the series was produced on a film-by-film basis. The production designer and art director worked with what they specifically needed for each film as dictated by the book, script, director, producers, WB, and JK herself. Unlike creating the films all at once with a cohesive look like the LOTR movies, the creative team designed sets only for the film they needed, for example which is why the courtyard battle scene in Deathly Hallows: Part 2 looks nothing like earlier versions. Another reason is that when Sorcerer's Stone went into production the book series hadn't even concluded yet. When Sorcerer's Stone began filming, the Goblet of Fire novel was released only two months earlier. Without the ability to foresee necessary sets and design specifications to meet future details given in the books, the filmmakers could only work with what they saw fit for the film they were making at the time.

Thanks guys... was just making sure I hadn't gone bonkers. That is the one thing about fantasy literature that makes it easy for the writers; if they need an 'out' for a situation, they just create new magic that solves the problem. Ravenclaw appears to be one of those solutions.
