I would guess that they are working on top of station (in ride path) or had a tall piece of equipment on the station site.

It could've also been the lightning announcement. If there is a lightning strike within 5 miles the trains have to stop running but they allow people to stay in the queue as it's under shelter.

EDIT: and that's what I get for replying without reading the rest of the thread. Someone beat me to it.

I don't know if this exact pin was there before, but I know I've seen plenty of Hogwarts Express items in the past. I'm wondering if more will be sold (or if they'll just take everything that's already available) and sell it in some gift shop portion of Kings Cross.

That pin has been around for over a year, but there are many many more HE products coming.

Gotcha
I figured there would be some HE merch coming along with this; it makes lots of sense. The trains were another integral part of the story...

Was it a recorded themed announcement or someone in the control booth talking?

It was themed, and not about lightning, the trains were being loaded and unloaded and sent off. Nothing was unusal, just this soundtrack playing. At the time I thought it was referring to the fact that the dragons don't duel anymore, I thought that this would be weird since that is old news. Later on in the day they closed outdoor ride becaus it was lighting but not at the time.

That was a fake rumor spread by HTF to catch the perps who where leaking and taking credit for OU information. There is no Voldemort AA, and I find it unlikely their will be AA's for any real people (unless it's just Voldemort from a distance or something) considering forbidden journey didn't use any, and to use both AA's and projections would look awkward.

No way in hell will an AA be jumping onto a car, the logistics would be impossible with one car after car going through, and safety, and keeping the figure in unison with the car.

Yes, I was going to say this, the uncanny valley would make the character look awkward and unnerving. Like the weird Jack on Pirates.

Ok yeah, we do need a sarcasm button. I was kidding about the AA lol

There is a lightning announcement for when weather is moving into the area.

The generic version is something along the lines of "May I have your attention please. Due to approaching inclement weather normal operation of ___ride name___ may be suspended at any time. Once again, due to approaching inclement weather normal operation of ____ride name____ may be suspended at any time. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep you informed of further developments".

All of the outdoor rides have themed versions, and most of the big rides have pre-recorded ones. Could that have been what you heard?

Great minds think alike! lol My friends and I always joke about it when we are using that path as a shortcut around seuss. I also love that its kind of a inside joke, if you go to IOA enough to know what it is.

Orlando native YouTuber "TheTimTracker" went to UOR on Sunday and got some good POV shots of Hogsmeade Station construction from both DC tracks. I'll admit it is fun to hear him narrate the POV video while on the coaster itself. Skip to 1:00 to watch the video taken on Dragon Challenge (it lasts until 3:20).....

I'm hoping for an affordable toy HE engine and a toy Knight bus. Wind up would be cool.

That might of been it, but I am almost positive it said something about safety hazards

Indeed it is, and I think it has been finished for at least a week or two, probably longer.

It's not, there's still large gaps between mummy and diagon alley, as well as between the Sound Stage parking lot and Mummy.

My sources are telling me there is only one gap left in the track, and that is a small one between Mummy and King's Cross. And it is there intentionally so they can easily get big things (like large Robot-like themeing elements) into the center of the park.
