Thanks for the update, AAO!! Great pics!

USO92, are the cracks you were mentioning what you see up top after the second chimney divider thingy here?

EDIT: Yikes! This is a crop from All Around Orlando's pic:

Yes yes yes!! That is exactly what SIm speaking of. Thank you AllaroundOrlando! Its very disconcerting and it honestly looks like a melted piece of playdough. Im sure theyve seen it and will fix it but it got me to say "woah". And its not something most people notice...thats how bad it is.

BTW, I also don't see the triangular piece of molding / sculpture art on the top part of Wyndham's Theater... Maybe they're re-doing it?

Interesting!

Also what's up with the scrim or whatever cube looking thing that is sitting on the roof that seems to have silhouettes of people?

It is interesting that the frieze is gone. And that thing on top looks like part of a mold for the frieze. Would that actually re-cast the frieze up on the roof?

Awesome pics and vid, AllAroundOrlando!

I can't wait to see them dress the insides of those Grimmauld Place windows.
Window dressings are my favourite part of streetscapes in theme parks. I love how they draw your eyes inside and makes you believe that someone might really be living there. Come to think of it, the apartment windows in the old Kong ride figured greatly in my love of it that ride.

Looking at it more closely, that is indeed a mold for the triangular frieze. And yeah, it is really odd that it would be there... I can't believe they would actually would cast it up there :stunned:

Hmmm, I think he might be right. Number 12 is supposed to be very dilapidated.

Check out the scene at the link below (I couldn't figure out how to embed it). You can clearly see the broken and sagging bricks around the windows.

http://www.anyclip.com/movies/harry-potter-and-the-order-of-the-phoenix/number-12-grimmauld-place/

EDIT: And then there's this picture posted in the Diagon Alley Part 1 thread (http://www.orlandounited.com/forums...Diagon-Alley-Discussion-(Opens-2014)/page900), showing the underlying structure for the "break" already in place before plaster/concrete was added and sculpted.

It's definitely theming. Crisis averted. Whew!

Maybe, just maybe, J.K. Rowling got wind of the not so faithful recreation of the triangle sculpture and demanded it to have the uncovered bosom? I just don't see why Universal would temper with art...
