Having to stop for 20 minutes of pre shows every time you ride would be terrible. You want to see them the FIRST time you ride. Having three mandatory pre shows kills it for people who want to ride repeatedly.

And if you weren't watching the preshows... you'd still be in line. The preshow is simply part of the line, yet more entertaining.

The commercials for this episode of the Celebrity Apprentice made it look like we were getting this first inside look at the WWoHP and they had shots of Hogsmeade and FJ and so much more... I swear I saw more WWoHP in that commercial than the actual show. The only new thing from the land was Hagrid's Hut. Very nice was Hagrid's Hut, but the overall episode was seriously overhyped... Even the candies seen are things you can buy in any store, they weren't the exclusive candies from the WWoHP. I did really like the "show room" with all the merch and posters and the Hogsmeade model, but we only got glances of it :(

Oh well... Can't wait till previews or till it opens so I can see it all for myself!! :)

God, why can't Uni open their own Blue Sky Cellar like Disney's California Adventure did for their expansion? Why so secretive? Disney ain't!

(No offense, Universal)

From what I heard, they were redesigning the chocolate frogs and other things that were released previously by Warners that weren't... uh... up to standards. The Chocolate frogs are much bigger and have better packaging right? I haven't watched the Apprentice yet, so I haven't actually SEEN them yet, but that's what I heard.

Everything Rob said made me shake my head. Seriously, no research? I get if you never read the books or watched the movies but doesn't something this important deserve research. The internet could have provided him with all the info he needed. He could have done that on the plane.

Do you really think there will be many unique WWoHP candies....from the short clips I have seen mostly generic stuff and a sparsely stocked shop at that, more into display.

Back on Page 101 update, in the Green House second picture down, are they fans?
Have they themed the JP to HP Bridge to look more Scottish rather than Jurassic-ee?

About Universal watching this and other threads, I think it is true. Some things people have posted have actually been changed a couple of weeks later...
Does anyone know the LENGTH of the Forbidden Journey Queue? Only the actually themed rooms (remove the Green Houses’ distance).

Universal, if you are reading, can you remove some of the buildings beside the LC side Entry Arch of Hogsmeade. Then, in the empty space plant trees, grow grass and add rocks (like someone drew on the Part 1 thread). That is the only thing that annoys me (apart from the Green House which isn’t going to be changed...).

I just hope they have security cams in the queue, I know other attractions don't have this feature but I hope FJ does indeed have some because, well, I don't want to see this queue end up like Ripsaw's. What I mean by that is the lowlifes that come into the park write on walls and carve out initials on the walls. Hopefully with security cams they could catch these people and put them where they belong, right back out on kirkman road.

EDIT : I remember Rockit had a similar problem with these idiots peeling paint/carving names in the wall or writing with markers on the walls...they put up metal sheets on the walls so no one could peel or write on them. However we all know this is impossible to do in a castle so all the more reason to put those cams up imo.

Remember Toy Story Midway Mania at Disney's Hollywood Studios, they had the same problem with paint peeling and such from guest interaction and had to repaint the entire queue and put up clear plexi-glass covers on the walls and props tall enough for a human to touch... though this solution wont help harry either. They may just need the night vision cameras in certain areas of the queues, and TMs in other portions to make sure it remains clean and up to the standards given to them.

They are wrong! Universal is very concerned about this issue and wants to do everything in their power to accommodate everyone. My source says, it won't be ready on opening, but as I type this, they are working on a "big boy" seat. Larger people will be able to ride! By Christmas.

Thanks for the heads up! I really hope this is correct...I did hear that they were planning the same thing for HRRR so here's hoping :)

Some of you may not of noticed on the Apprentice tonight... but while they were in the Universal Creative room, the mega item that I said would be in the ride, and fit inside my drawing was present. The model was there for it on the table against the wall! Tiny there... but mega on the ride.

And no, it wasn't the dobby figure.

This just confirms that most celebs are as dumb as we think. 5 $%^&^% MINUTES ON GOOGLE they could have been well informed....They really did NO research at all !!!!!!!!!!!!! IM SO FLOORED BY THIS i can't explain it, like if they would even just looked at the Uni website they would have done about 100X better.

Thank you so much for that post, Scott, I think everyone here is really fired up now about the queue and not about things that we can't answer, lol.

But Universal, yes you, if you're reading this, I'd like to really point out some things that I'm not finding fit:

1. The show building. I know that there is limited money, but you have to really find a way to fix seeing it from the entrance to the Forbidden Journey. Now, I'm sure you're already doing that, but just saying.
2. The colors of the Dragons. Again, budget is limited, I know, but at least a rusted color overlay must be added. The colors clash with Hogsmeade.
3. The moment right as you're going up Dragons' queue. The left side... I mean, I think this could have been done in a better fashion. This isn't like your usual and amazing standards.
4. The real openness of the Forbidden Journey plaza. The space is really cool and it adds a great feeling of 'WOAH' to the castle, but a couple of intermittent trees could be added to give the place a bit of shade.
5. The released vehicles picture. I feel really embarrassed talking about this because I feel guilty about the picture arising here when it shouldn't have even come up, but I have to say this: The vehicles must be painted. And aged. They're too bright. Again, I'm sure this is already being done, maybe even this second, but I'm adding this as a 'just in case'.
6. The entrances into Hogsmeade. I don't know how much it will cost, but you have to add a sign saying The Wizarding World. Maybe you can even leave out 'of Harry Potter', but I think this is necessary for tourists. It'd really be perfect if it only appears every, like, 5-10 seconds and just out of nowhere, it appears. Like in the Tower of Terror's sign. Fiber optic cables would be amazing.

In the world of picky-ness, I think this post would be really picky. I know. But I have to at least 'bold-face' them in one definite post. And I think most people on this board agree with me on at least one of these topics.

Just for clarification, I LOVE YOU, UNIVERSAL. Don't get me wrong. At all.

I agree with everything BUT #6. That would kill the authenticity. There will be a million signs pointing to the Wizarding World all over IoA, but if you really were in the Wizarding World, there wouldn't be signs saying you're there. It's like asking people to put signs up saying this is Planet Earth or the real world. It is redundant and kills the theme and fantasy of realism. I like their approach, if only they'd remove the "TM" from under the freaking Hogsmeade sign!

Wow they are killing Harry Potter as well as Ellen did.

haha anyone remember "love potion doesn't taste good"
I bet Uni was pissed about that

Haha! indeed! And when Ellen asked if they liked Butterbeer they didn't respond... :-S (Even fansite reports called it an acquired taste, which is polite for, at least, weird tasting...)

I hope Universal comes up with some sort of behind the scenes tour for this because I'd buy that without thinking for a second! I wanna see their creative process, the "behind the magic," and all the wonderful work that was done to bring the Wizarding World to life! PLEASE UNIVERSAL!

That's what i heard too, but other than chocolate frogs, everything else seems the same... I've had B.B.E.F.Beans, Blood Pops and Chocolate Frogs before (store bought) and the Beans and Blood Pops looked EXACTLY the same... :-S You can see some examples, and buy some HP candy, here.

I HOPE there's more... as a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I will be satisfied with whatever they have because the simple fact that I'm in the Wizarding World is a dream come true, but there's never too much in my Potter-fan opinion ;) The more, the merrier! (and the HP candies -and most merch for that matter - that were sold previous to this project were very mundane and cheap looking... I hope to see that packaging and quality of the products improves for the WWoHP since it would be like buying the real deal here! and Im sure that because of the simple fact that we're in a theme park we can expect prices to be inflated quite a bit! So if Im paying more, I'll expect more (even if my expectations are higher than they should be for a theme park)

PS: UNIVERSAL, if you're watching, the bold is for you!
