Luigi's Mansion is a perfect standalone miniland that could fit easily between Marvel and Toon Lagoon where the empty stadium is now. Or where Simpsons is now. Spreading out the Nintendo fans over the other parks is a better business decision and I love mini lands.

im sorry but I am really unsure how you think people are going to get into the land other than the route theyve already built into DK. every building on the ground floor of SNW is occupied, I believe its the 1 up store before you go through the archway to DK, and then the Maintenance building for Yoshi, the other side of those buildings is the fire road and delivery yard for the restaurant, the picture I posted had a green rectangle to demonstrate another portal in and out its easy to screen with trees and other elements to lead into something different

The park has dead ends and no loops because theyre self contained lands, they would have to abandon the whole concept of the park to have loops into other lands

There’s an opening that leads out of the Super Mario Land section, toward the service road, between the 1-UP Factory and bathrooms under Yoshi prior to DK portal.

It’s right next to the Coke Freestyle machines they’re installing now and is listed as Land Egress Corridor 2 in permits.

Yeah no... Keep all the Mario related lands at Epic. Every other Nintendo IP (Zelda, Pokémon, Animal Crossing, etc) can be at the other parks tbh.

I agree with this. Keep the Mario and Mario-adjacent (i.e. Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, etc.) worlds in one park. Zelda and Pokemon can develop their own Nintendo hubs in Islands and the Studios.

(Eventually, I imagine we'll get Super Nintendo World - Mushroom Kingdom and Super Nintendo World - Donkey Kong Country distinctions if/when Nintendo expansions open at other parks, much like Wizarding World now has area distinctions across the three parks.)

Technically, the two areas have already been officially designated by Universal as "Super Mario Land" and "Donkey Kong Country", but like you mentioned, they probably wont be referred to as such in promotional materials until future expansion occurs.

Yeah the only mario adjacent IP that could have worked in separate parm was DK. It seems clear Universal and/or Nintendo wants the whole Mario family together

Yeah I'm surprised we haven't talked about this more, SNW is definitely getting the Wizarding World treatment when USF and IoA come into the picture. I'm imagining:
  • USF - Super Nintendo World: Pokeplex
  • IoA - Super Nintendo World: Hyrule
  • Epic - Super Nintendo World: Mushroom Kingdom

Locations of aforementioned doorways for those who like visuals that we'll use to get into the future expansion area:

SNWDoors.jpg

What I just realized is the small pyramid is directly over the large doorway which might be seen from inside the new land when it's built, making it a neat little design element to help find your way back towards the exit.

That's closer than I thought. They could bring the queue through that green doorway, immediately turn and build a ramp against the green wall then bridge over the road so they don't lose that access. Build the building on the other side of the road right behind that shop building. That doorway appears wide enough for standby, express, and ride exit to all fit through. Only other concern would be do they have to have that opening there for land access for maintenance, cleanup, etc.

The portal into the expansion isn't going to lead immediately to a queue. With the space available it'll likely be a mini land like DK but smaller. There was a mock-up posted a few pages ago showing how the layout of the space fits in.

See above—they'd reroute the current service road around SNW's expansion. The new road would connect to SNW and the new land whenever they add a new portal/world to Epic.

In the photo below you can see a smaller service road behind DK is already in place. If and when the SNW expansion is built and the service road is rerouted it won't impede on the access needed for existing maintance. There might be some slight modifications in the area closest to the DK doorway if I had to guess though nothing substantial.

I don't know about you but I'm starting to think Universal planned ahead somewhat. ;)

I think this is their best bet for expansion here. This leaves the rest of that area to potentially be a whole new portal world.

So its the one by the high reach? which puts it leading out on to the service yard and primary fire route into the hub. Thats a bottle neck.

You have to get a fire truck (17ft tall) through so what could you build that allows for this to happen? you cant loop around it because that cuts into the service yard and you cant get rid of the service yard. I know it would be neat and tidy to go either into DK or LM but i just don't see how that works without killing the fire road and servicing that area. and if they completely move the fire road then you kill a perfectly good expansion spot for something thats not meant to be a major expansion, it makes no sense

the paths on left side of Nintendo and left side of Dark Universe aren’t enough for emergency access? Nintendo is only half size, and the team member backstage path between it and Pizza Moon structure doesn’t have a turn around for emergency vehicles the way the one by Dark Universe does. Doesn’t it just dead end into the Nintendo World exit walkway? I think it’s a TM path, not a fire truck road.

Edit: In other words, this road already doesn’t go to Celestial Park. It has to stop where the guest exit pathway starts at SNW exits.
