I fear it may run into the same problem that the American Werewolf in London house had of not being able to catch lightning in a bottle for its 2nd go around. I feel the cast in the insidious house last year is what was able to bring it to GOAT levels last year

This is the entire problem of a repeat. My favorite thing about HHN is the set design and costuming, but the cast itself makes or breaks any house

As much as I’d love to see this house again, especially as a bonus 11th house, I fear it may run into the same problem that the American Werewolf in London house had of not being able to catch lightning in a bottle for its 2nd go around. I feel the cast in the insidious house last year is what was able to bring it to GOAT levels last year, and at this point I don’t think its recency bias (or it could be), but it was one of the best and most consistent houses I have ever been through. If they bring it back again and it just doesn't hit the same notes, i’ll be slightly soured on my perspective of the house as a whole.

And there lies the one main issue if Insidious returns.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the house last year. The cast was great, and it was a consistently intense house for me, enough so that it landed at my #1. But when you're at the top, there's nowhere else to go but down if you return...and that can very much happen as it did for AWIL. Heck, the same thing happened for me with Revenge of the Tooth Fairy. Loved it in 2020, but it just didn't hit the same in 2021 and that was a bummer.

I could see them just reskinning the layout and turning it into another IP or original tbh. If not, I guess it would make sense to bring it back because of RRR going the way of the dodo. Maybe it won't be as good as it was last year but it would still help a lot with capacity so... who knows. I'm hoping they're just reusing the layout and doing something different with it this year. That would be nice

what if it's the same insidious house but with different characters? new ghosts or something
repeat houses could always try this. just new costumes

Insidious doesn't have an extended variety to choose from. Everything (ghosts/characters) from the films made an appearance.

Insidious already wasn't my #1 last year, so if they bring it back I won't mind regardless. I'll still go through just as much as the others, and it would be nice to have that capacity with the loss of HRRR.
