I have to say no ride will ever be “worth” that long wait. At least not to me.

I’ve been seeing some people say the ride profile and movement has been changed or toned down a little after the recent closure.

The new generation of the JAWS ride

Very few people can say they rode "the first version of MoM"

Hope they make the sensors less sensitive so when we bounce around on the ride it doesn’t set off the safety function!

Best we can do is make you bounce around less.

I’m making a joke haha

I’m not sure the motion was toned down, or if he just rode in the back row for the first time, which feels completely different.

Waiting for more info. (Or when I ride on Thursday)

Having seen the POV beforehand I was expecting a decent feeling drop when getting knocked to the lower level of the department of magical creatures, but it didn't feel like much (at least from the back row). Kind of a disappointment since that moment feels built around the RV actually dropping significantly. I only recall a tiny drop near the beginning of the ride - maybe when the death eater attacks the lift for the first time - but it was pretty tame overall.

Are row requests a thing for Ministry? It just came back up from extended downtime when I rode. I pretty much walked right into the station from where the line stopped (essentially a constant stream of people moving and immediately loading), and they said they couldn't accommodate it when I asked to wait for front row and stuck me in the back left seat. I'm hoping that was a one-off thing.

Btw, as today new lighting and fog effects have been added in the Ministry ride. One in the first battle scenes, Top of Rumpent animatronic and time room scene.

But did the AA death eater and his crate drop at the end of his scene?

Unfortunately, I haven’t notice that. Is there suppose to be a crate drop feature on last AA death eater scene?

Yea, his crate gets hit by magic and you see him react like he’s falling and landing. But I don’t believe it has worked since the first day the ride opened.

Despite it being a challenge to actually ride this since it opened. Hopefully someone is keeping track of all the effects that weren't present since opening.

It'd be interesting to know if it's significant difference like Monsters Unchained is..

I figured there might be something missing since this dude spends the second half of that scene just kinda glaring at you without doing much, but I didn’t expect that to be the answer. Explains why he curses at the riders despite nothing happening lol.

Our car shakes a little at the same moment to accentuate the drop we witness ahead of us.

Universal & Disney love their drop effects/gimmicks

"We need something else to happen in this scene"
"Drop them"
