There are lots of spray painted markings and numbers appear at the base of the Simpson Show building, forming a typical patterned code that documents the structures prior to demolition and signals planned reconstruction(in architecture). Also there has been lots of hint around about this property. Based on lots of infos we gathered beside public announcement, I thought you have already informed on this.

Universal has made no announcements about the future of The Simpsons Ride or the surrounding Simpsons-themed venues. You presented what you'd heard as established fact. There is evidence that suggests they are exploring demolishing the building, but nothing has been officially confirmed, and there are no markings around any other buildings in Springfield, to my knowledge.

Do I personally think The Simpsons Ride will go, and the surrounding area replaced? Yes, at some point. Do I know that for certain, including the timing and what might replace it? No, and I don't pretend that I do.

I'm sorry to harp on these kinds of things, guys, but we need to keep ourselves honest when speculating. The whole "Simpsons goes in 2028" thing has never been rooted in any sort of verifiable evidence, either, it's just based on a set of assumptions.

Yes. But from my perspective. When there is recent work going on back of Simpsons show building and spray painted markings with numerical codes, it indicate the structures before demolition, indicating an organized process of removal and future rebuilding.

Thats how I interpret. We saw this procedure numerous time. Before special effect & animal actors shows close to build Hollywood drift, new harry potter experience in this years fan fast, new space carved next to mummy building, lost continent before walls up. Also, it is this is a standard civil procedure in architecture and structural engineering.

It’s just like we know that new harry potter expansion is in works at epic universe beside nothing has been confirmed from officials.

We have permits for something going on at Epic, and we have intuited it is likely related to Potter given the information gleaned from the permits. That is not the same thing as an official confirmation.

Nothing has been confirmed yet regarding The Simpsons or Springfield. You need to accept this.

KidZone at USF had markings in 2017 because we all assumed it was slated to close to make way for Super Nintendo World, which now resides in Epic Universe.

Nothing is confirmed until Universal says so. Everything else remains speculation, however well-informed or likely it may be.

Yet after these marking, there was change indeed and ultimately became a dreamworks land with new buildings and showsets & expriences.

As I said again, it is standard architecture, structural engineering’s procedure before demo. I learn about these and when I see coded markings and crosses appear throughout the site, I’ll know whats going to happen without a doubt.

In epic’s case, they filed permits early in anticipation of the HP expansion, as construction is scheduled to begin soon or imminently and the project carries a fixed completion deadline before 2029. In contrast, at USH, permit filings have not yet been initiated, as the existing contract remains active through 2028, allowing greater flexibility in the project timeline.

Sure! Sorry for these long off the topic words haha.

At last, about the missing point. I get it, we mispaculated about the ip yet there indeed was a change on the site. Thats my point, we don’t know the ip yet but the change is basically set in stone.

This is going to be the end of this conversation in this thread, but no. This is still incorrect, and it's worth repeating that. Nintendo was intended for KidZone. Plans leaked, walls went up, construction was ready to start. At the last minute, the plug got pulled and plans changed. That change, Kidzone to Nintendo, never happened. KidZone persisted for many years before it was ultimately rethemed to Dreamworksland, which came about as an entirely new and discrete plan. The change was not set in stone.

This is why it's a problem to declare that Simpsons will close in 2028. We just don't know. It may closer sooner. It may close quite a bit later. You don't know, and neither do I, until Universal officially announces something. Do the paint markings mean they're evaluating something? Yes, absolutely. We can safely intuit that. But it does not guarantee the outcome or timeline you presented as happening.

It won’t close. I know because I can time travel.

Seriously though what if those markings are to actually reinforce the structure? It’s an old ahhhh building that had a faulty foundation.

Those markings are not on the buildings cracks, spalls, or settlement points. It’s further spread out the show building.

Even with the summer opening announcement, I still think my "will F&F open before Insomnia Cookies" question still holds

Hot take… I really hate the tree tarp walls and wish they had just built something nice like you’d see along a highway to protect a residential area…

Honestly they could have been used actual green wall with vines instead of greenery painting.

Same with those ugly walls on queue area, new security gate, new space next to mummy, f&f ride building next to potter :(

They just doesn’t seems to care much of aesthetics, cohesiveness of those facility and spaces anymore in here at ush.

I understand your argument. But in my opinion, from info I gathered from creative and members with grain of salt, seeing paint marks, continues talks & leak claims and contract due at 2028. In this case, I firmly believe that something will happen in Simpson land in 2028 to new attractions and experiences.

Agreed.

Shifting conversation back to Hollywood Drift, what are the chances that 'Speakerbox' (the song they used for the new commercial) is one of the songs used for the on-ride soundtrack? I actually think it fits the ride pretty well!
