Curious if anyone knows if Black Sabbath music will be included with Ozzy or just his solo music. “if he comes”. Would give them a couple more tunes to shuffle into the house/Lagoon Show.

Two thoughts (and this isn't me disagreeing, just giving the lay of the corporate land):

1) Universal seems terrified "there's a ceiling," to quote Brian from a year or two ago. HHN is their golden goose, and they appear convinced one price hike too many will bring the whole thing crashing down. Personally, I disagree -- HHN has become every bit the lifestyle brand Disney is, and I see what the Mouse can get away with down I-4. But Universal doesn't seem to think that way. Compare with their apparent reticence, based on that leaked survey, to triple to cost of an AP even if it includes EU. They seem to know their customers are more value-conscious (even if I don't think the hard-core HHN fans are anymore).

2) Related to that last point, even a $3,500 UFFP+X would sell out 500 tickets before opening night. Double that if they let them. Maybe not within 15 minutes, but I doubt more than 48 hours. Product of our K-shaped economy and the weird obsessiveness HHN breeds.

I really think they just need to get rid on any pass package that is more than 10 event days.

I know HoH is not the most reliable, but is Invasion of Lightening Gulch supposed to imply aliens? If so, they think we’re having two alien type original houses?

Side note: I actually wouldn’t mind a Seek and Destroy house. I enjoyed the zone.

They have no idea what they’re doing, just spitballing and backtracking when stuff doesn’t stick (Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

Seek and Destroy and Invasion would both be alien houses.

Agreed, and if Horror Night Nightmares makeup kit with the BZZZCon logo clue is still applicable, that does NOT point to Seek and Destroy in any way.

Seek and Destroy is the "Zyborgs" rumor right? So I'm guessing Invasion of Lightning Gulch would be more like traditional grey/green type aliens and Seek and Destroy more...robotic/cyborg as the name implies?

This time last year, we had the scarezone leak. I guess they’re being more tight lipped this year.

If I remember correctly, that was aided along by someone having a conversation at the Epic opening, and an IU member overhearing that and posting it here.

Pretty sure the person that leaked it is banned from Uni, and the IU member is banned from here.

So that helps tighten things up

If memory serves me correct, said person initially leaked the scarezones on the HHN Reddit group, then they (or someone else here) posted it here.

The opening week and Halloween week options -- be it 10 days or 7 or 3 -- would sell out (with or without Express) within hours. Late September through the first week or so of October would be empty, causing the event to lose money those nights. And the UFFP fans would just buy 10 passes or whatever to cover the whole event.

Even assuming all 500 UFFP+X holders show up every night ... that's 500 people in a crowd around 35-40k. Across 10 houses and 8 hours. That's not having a meaningful effect on lines--and I'm a charter member of the "FastPass is evil" club. The only realistic options to truly address crowds would be (1) increase capacity at the event exponentially with little extra cost somehow or (2) increase all ticket prices across the board to reflect current market conditions.

1). Wrong, there are no nights that HHN loses money. Every night is meaningfully “busy.” Some nights are more extreme than others.

2). The reason why there are only 500 UFFP+X holders is to prevent more locals from purchasing those passes to clog up express every night they show up.

They need to eliminate the express options for ALL multinight tickets, end of discussion. You wanna cut the line? Cough up the $$$ to cut the line on the single night you wanna do all 10 houses.

Don’t think @SeventyOne was suggesting they’d be in the red on those nights in that scenario. More like: the additional ways they monetize the multi-night guests (merch, food sales, hotel stays, Express, etc.) at relatively high incremental margin just fall away from those less trafficked parts of the season. So on balance, the event brings in less cash.

I don't agree, even WDW with 20 million guests visiting MK a year still sells an AP. Fear Passes are an important factor in filling out the park between slower periods. Those locals with APs/Fear Passes tend to spend less than other guests types, they still spend more money than no guest. Maybe we lose Fear Plus Pass and/or prices go up, but I think they'll always remain.

I do think the limiting of the UFFP+Ex last year did make a noticeable difference, at least for us.

I don't think we waited more than maybe 10 minutes for anything across our 2 nights.
